Experiences - Anyone ever suspect their source is cutting kratom with filler?

SWIM has only been buying kratom for the past few months. She tried several different types of crushed leaf and powder from a few different vendors. When she settled on a powder and vendor that she thought was good, she placed a larger order - 4 oz of Bali. When the order arrived, there was an extra 1 oz of Bali in a separate bag. Apparently this was someone else's order that was attached to SWIMs by mistake. Well, right or wrong, SWIM kept the "extra" 1 oz. SWIM used this over the next few days. She was amazed at how pleasantly strong it was - better than usual. Then SWIM moved on to the 4 oz of the same product that she had ordered. She was very disappointed. It had little to no effect, even when taking double or triple the amount as before. She kept trying for several days, but was never able to achieve that euphoric feeling. Has anyone else had an experience like this? SWIM is jaded and suspects that once a customer is "hooked" on the good stuff, then reorders a larger amount, they are given an inferior (diluted) product in order to increase their profit. SWIM may be completely wrong, but wonders if this may be common practice for some vendors. Input is greatly appreciated.

Im not sure about diluting or placing fillers in the product but I do think that some vendors sell the sub par batches in the larger bags and better batches in smaller bags. The reasoning I would think is behind this is that selling the better stuff to multiple customers is better for customer turnover rather than rewarding the long time customers who need it and are going to buy anyways. An explantaion might be that the second bag was a stronger strain or extract, was it labeled differently from the other bag? Kratom is unregulated so quality from batch to batch can vary greatly but Im sure some, though i would guess the minority, are not above combining weaker batches with the better ones to create a more profitable product. Kratom strength can change with the weather and the seasons among many other factors.

It sounds to SWIM as though SWIY is not getting someone else's order, but instead getting a sample of a different batch (or even a different strain). SWIM often gets 4oz that comes with extra ounces in separate bags that are samples of other batches/strains.

The Bali SWIM gets can vary greatly, even among the same vendor (who SWIM always uses). SWIM wondered about what was said, about given an inferior product once hooked, but that hasn't been the case for SWIM. It seems to be more a simple difference among different batches, because sometimes SWIM notes that it is absolutely fantastic, other times not so great, and sometimes just so-so.

If SWIY scores something good, get in touch with the supplier right away and ask them to hold SWIY some of that same batch.

As for fillers, who knows? Maybe even the good stuff has fillers in it too. With the powdered stuff, no one can be sure what they're getting.

The reason SWIM thinks she got someone else's order is because they arrived in 2 separate FedEx envelopes with 2 different order numbers. And yes, both products were labeled exactly the same.
