Drug info - codeiene contin

So Swim aquired codeine contin 50 mg pills. They are small green tablets from the pharmacy.

Are these pure codeiene and can swim take 4 or 5 of them?

These are time release capsules if swim isn't mistaken; contin, standing for continuous release. Meaning swiy won't get an instant hit. They're specifically designed for pain relief, while making them largely worthless to the recreational user. Swiy may get a mild buzz from them though.

SWIM thought slow release tablets worked by them being designed to be digested slowly. SWIM always thought if you just crushed these tablets up and ate the power in some way that it would remove the slow release effect since the powder will be digested quickly.

Inform SWIM if he's wrong.

I'll tell what ill do. I'll crush 2 pills and eat 2 more whole and see if it makes a difference. PLus I'll take some tramadol which is kind of a low dose and mixed with the dreaded acet.

Swim will try and crush them but I was reading on a site that it can get obsorbed to fast and it could lead to a side affect...

Also be careful with what drug combination SWIY takes... be safe.

SWIY should only do a small amount crushed first. Crushing into a powder means it will be absorbed very quickly and the come up will be strong. 200mg is quite a lot, SWIM recommends SWIY only does two tablets crushed up to test it out - you should definitely be able to feel nice with 100mg unless your tolerance is high.

Don't put SWIY at risk just to get high.

There're two types of slow release; one dissolves naturally in the gut as any other type of thing would do, these are usually white and will respond to crushing. The other type dissolve due to heat, these are usually not white, and crushing them won't make that much difference.

It's impossible to know for sure from here, but if swiy got them from a pharmacy, it really should explain all this in the leaflet that came with it.

If swiy is testing something out, the last thing swiy wants to do is mix substances, swiy won't have a clue what's doing what.

On a personal note, Tramadol is evil, destroy. Destroy it now.

I had been on oxys but then downgraded to these codiene contin since my doc feared I was becoming an addict.

These really don't go much but last a long time and make SWIM itchy and have problems uranating.

Tramadol is a synthetic opiate which also messes around with brain chemistry. It feels good for one dose yeah, but please, for the love of god, don't take it for any length of time. It completely screws up your brain, not even heroin does that.

Seems a little bit reckless to be looking at popping Tramadol just in case 200mg of codeine does not work!

Call Swim a conservative, but, ahem, could be rocket fuel grinding two pills and taking the two whole. Careful as you go.

Thanks for the info miggeth re the synthetic opiate - surely combining codeine with whatever ingredient rocks your world in Tramadol is another risk in itself?

Americans seem to have a penchant for synthetic opiates, I take it Vicodin is in the same ball park?
