Oral use - Crushing oxys?

Crushing oxys?

So swim is down to his last few oxys. They were only 5 mg ones though. My question is can I crush the 3 remaining I have?

Will the effects be different...and is there any other way to intensify it while taking them orally?

Thanks

P.S. I was just worried because I heard people went into cardiac arrest when crushing them.
