Addiction - trying to quit heroin use with some methadone

SWIM has been using black tar for a year and mybe 2-4 months now on and off but for the last 6 months maybe daily sometimes doing up to a gram a day(SUPER SUPER rare) niy 90% pf the time and as of lately smoking/IV of .1-.3 a day.

he last used less than .1 yesterday with a missed shot lol and was not feeling well last night a couple hours later so he took 10mg of methadone(5-6hrs after heroin) amd this morning (roughly 6hrs ago) took 20mg and is feeling a lil sick in the stomach and very slight headache and withdrawly but doing just peachy compared to cold turkey. he has 3 more 10mg pills and can get 6 more soon maybe more if needed.

SWIM is hoping to do a fairly quick taper over a week to 2 weeks and go through the HOPEFULLY less painful withdrawls and be clean.

SWIM really wants to quit using heroin but the cold turkey pain is too muich for SWIM inthe past he ends up using again.

if 20mg seems to be enough to be cool how should SWIM go about this taper if he wants to do it fairly quickly? SWIM would like to use it for 1-2 weeks at the most.
