I know the first thought would be to call an ambulance but right behind the ambulance was gonna be some cops and maybe you got a few hundred dollarsof really good heroin in your house . And then being woke up from an overdose by paramedics is definitely not a good feeling.

I know from my experiences when I used to use and sell heroin overdoses can happen a lot and you don't want to go to the hospital ordeal with police every time . I'm not saying that dealing with an overdose yourself is the right thing to do but neither is doing heroin .

what I used to do was when I seen somebody starting to nod off I would keep an eye on them if they became unresponsive I would sit with them to make sure they didn't stop breathing . Most of the time when someone has noded off their breathing slows down a lot but sometimes they stop breathing.after that it's not long before they start turning blue , lips and fingertips get cold , everyone starts freaking out and suggesting to call an ambulance .

I guess I am fortunate becausei learned CPR in school . I never had to administer complete CPR because I always caught them before their heart stopped beating but I have had to do mouth to mouth resuscitation many times .I just stayed with the person and breathed for them until I can get them to come to . Sometimes it would take a minute or two other times twenty minutes or more . Talk about really fucking my high .

Funny thing when the person wakes up they never know what happened .I have ODed before and my girlfriend had to breathe for me to keep me alive when I woke up she was freaking out. We got into a big fight because when I woke up I wanted to do another shot .

I was just wondering if anybody else has had experiences like this or knew a better way to deal with a overdose

Only thing that comes to my mind is naloxone. Man, Im definately one of the ambulance whiners. You mean you breathed for them 20 minutes one time? I'd be kinda afraid that they get brain damage or so. But you sure know more about it.

If paramedics are not an option you should acquire some naloxone like bogumil suggests:

Learn the dosages and how to inject(hah I think you probably have that down pat).

Postoperative Narcotic Depression: For the partial reversal of narcotic depression following the use of narcotics during surgery, smaller doses of naloxone hydrochloride are usually sufficient. The dose of naloxone hydrochloride should be titrated according to the patient’s response. For the initial reversal of respiratory depression,

NaloxoneHydrochloride Injection should be injected in increments of 0.1 to 0.2 mg intravenously at two- to three- minute intervals to the desired degree of reversal, i.e., adequate ventilation and alertness without significant pain or discomfort. Larger than necessary dosage of naloxone hydrochloride may result in significant reversal of analgesia and increase in blood pressure. Similarly, too rapid reversal may induce nausea, vomiting, sweating or circulatory stress.

Repeat doses of naloxone hydrochloride may be required within one- to two-hour intervals depending upon the amount, type (i.e., short or long acting) and time interval since last administration of narcotic. Supplemental intramuscular doses have been shown to produce a longer lasting effect.

yes, narcan would be a great thing to have around the house but i dont think it would be possible to get a doctor to write me a prescription and even if i could convince a doctor its still expensive.

0.02MG/ML 10X2ML, 10 AMPULS $136.74

another thing is if the person who has overdosed is a heavy user they are going to be going through some bad withdraws after being woke up by narcan/naloxone

two major options come to mind and one has already been stated. so heres your alternative: Adrenaline. any kind of adrenaline really, adrenochrome semicarbazone is the most durable.

I only snort H because smoking always sems like a waste for me and injecting- probably the most cost-effective way - isnt my thing.

I always have a nose shower here. This is a bottle with a tap on it. You fill the bottle with water and salt and put the tap into your one nosehole. The water runs through your nose and leaves it through the other hole.

When I snorted and I feel like it hits too hard, I just flush it out of my nose with this nosewasher. It always helped. Might be a good tool to prevent a heavy OD when you snorted.

The thing cost me about 15 bucks and the salt mix again 15 for 20 bags. But you dont need them. 2.5 g of table salt for 500ml water does it as well.

Is $136.74 too much money to keep someone from dying and yourself from possibly getting convicted for providing a substance to someone that got them killed?

Anyone who would rather choose dying over experiencing major withdrawals has some major problems. DEAL WITH IT!!!

I strongly agree with the naloxone/Narcan idea, though I wanted to add one thing...

One shot rarely does it, and as someone else stated, it'll be necessary
to readminister within 45 min-1 hour... Now, in someone else's
experience, after a person gets a shot of Narcan, they go from totally
out to totally back, often as if nothing happened. Because they
don't feel any different from usual, the person usually wants to shoot
(not Narcan...) again as soon as they're awake. Don't let
'em. You don't want MORE opiates to deal with when you have to
readminister the naloxone...
