Question about cutting blotters in half
SWIM's always wondered, say one stumbles upon a fairly potent batch of blotters and would not want to trip that hard; Would cutting the blotter in half be an accurate way of reducing the dose by half? I'm not sure if this has been asked before (probably has but couldn't find a specific thread; merge if necessary). It doesn't seem as though it would be that precise. I mean, is LSD equally distributed across the blotter or can the majority of the dose be located in one corner of the blotter?
Does anyone have any real evidence of this? Anecdotal advice is welcome too. |

Re: Question about cutting blotters in half
Swim would say its a somewhat reliable method- if laid well sheets are fairly evenly distributed.
BUT- swims cheshire cat says a brief primer on how sheets are laid: crystal LSD is dissolved in a carrier- usually grain alcohol. A measured amount is poured into a pyrex tray, and the sheets are individually dipped in the solution, and then hung to dry. So many oppurtunities for variation: ie, the concentration of the suspension of LSD throughout the liquid, inconsistiencies in the absorbency of different parts of the paper (caused by both the fibers of the paper and potentially the inks of the design, and the fact that when hung to dry things tend to weep down the paper. But as a general rule, the variations will be more by sheet region then individual hit. |

Re: Question about cutting blotters in half
Is there a particular region of the sheet where more LSD accumulates than the rest? The lower half as it is hung up to dry perhaps?

The lowest point- yes. But remember- those doing this are generally spun beyond belief so they may be hung upside down and at angles. Swims turtles even seen them hung sideways to give the most headspace in the room... so...even if swiy was there- you'd be hard pressed to be sure. But that said- the mind is a strange thing- and usually they are hung right side up and usually by the left corner (most people being right handed swiy holds the sheet by the left corner and attaches the clip with the right.)

Re: Question about cutting blotters in half
Yea for the most part swiy will be fine as the sheet is dipped entirely in the solution. now say swiy had liquid L dropped on something (sweetart etc.) there is a much larger chance that it is not evenly distributed, making that really hard to split in half correctly
