I kind of doubt it's illegal, its not very well known or widespread, afaik, so there wouldn't be much need to schedule it. I'm not sure about it being a precursor. Sorry I can't help out more. Hopefully you can find some answers in Pihkal.

Everything can be a precursor for something else, but as a phenthylamine this is a completed molecule. At least as regards it being a potential psychedelic. It's only other stage would be if the chemist were to have made it an amphetamine instead. It could be construed as illegal under the analogue act in the USA, but it would need big mouthes flapping and popularity to arouse the ire of the goons first. If you run into this and it's good, please be quiet! LOL!
