a car full of people had a mass hallucination of a large elephant in the middle of the highway while going 90mph. the driver stayed on the gas determined to hit it if it was real.

swim's wierdest was(swim was in the woods) and those little question mark boxes from super mario brothers were growing from trees, also clouds were beigining to turn black

The first time swim took some cid...
Swim's friend had a few brown spots on his walls and they blew up to huge pennies and started slidding along the walls. Eventually the pennies matched with the beat of the music(Horus the Chorus - Infected Mushroom) and started shrinking and multiplying as well as flying through the air.

SWIM says he wishes he kept some notes of the bizarre hallucinations SWIM has experienced. He does remember one particularly strange one when he sat down to smoke some pot a few hours after eating LSD blotter and when after picking one bag from the sandwich baggy full of dimebags of pot... SWIM looked at the sealed dimebag he had picked and it was a bunch of snakes slithering inside of the bag like a snakepit... SWIM looked at the other bags and it was happening inside of them too... snakepits inside of the bags!!! ... and then when SWIM tried to reassure himself that it was all in his head and proceeded to open the bag... to stuff the pot into the bong... he took a closer look and the snakes were opening their mouths and hissing at SWIM!!! SWIM even seen their fangs!!! and tongue!!... swim was determined to smoke anyhow and forced himself to just stuff the pot into the bong and take a few hits to kill the snakes... SWIM experienced auditory hallucinations when he did that as the snakes began hissing in a screeching way as they were being burnt....

SWIM also remembers one time when he was talking to his close friend while on LSD and the world in front of his eyes shattered like an automobile door window shattters and fell but was all pieced back together perfectly by the time he had blinked his eye just once...

SWIM also remembers trying DMT for the fist time in a JEEP from a makeshift bowl made out of a budwieser can... ... SWIM was at a festival and was somewhat aggitated feeling as if he had just been seriously overcharged by the dealer who obviously sensed SWIMS outward excitement about having finally been offered to purchase DMT for the very first time after many years of searching.. SWIM had been complaining to his friend sitting next to him in the Jeep about the taxed price just before taking his first hit...but when SWIM let out the first hit of DMT after holding it for 20 seconds he began tripping immediately.. SWIM swears a disco ball dropped down from the roof of the inside of the Jeep and began spinning in such a way that prizms of colors were projecting all about the Jeep interior like lazers of light and when SWIM looked over to his friend sitting next to him... it wasn't his friend but was in fact the person who he had just been complaining about for having overcharged SWIM for the DMT and SWIM felt ashamed that he had just trashed the guy for having overcharged him because SWIM realized at that point that the guy wasn't so wrong after all for having taxed him so such because the experience was unlike any other to this very day that swim has experienced...SWIM sensed that he owed the man an apology and felt bad for having talked trash about the man b/c the man had BOMB shit.

Also, SWIM remembers eating blue mescaline pills that were circulating back in early 1994 and listening to Skinny Puppy when he began to hear subliminal messages of some sort in the music stating "Water" ..."Water".. over and over again and SWIM convinced himself that he had been depriving himself of water for far too long and was sure that he would soon die if he did not consume water.. SWIM was pretty convinced that to even try to drink water at that point would be moot as it was already too late.. the damage had already been done.. SWIM had neglected to drink water for far too long of a time and there was no way to play catch up.. he was sure to die eventually from lack of water.. but then the posters on the wall began to talk to SWIM and distracted him from the though of dying from lack of water...

There were two posters... One was of a Grim reaper holding a scale on a white horse in the desert and the other was of a comic book hero that looked like a muscular man made out of bricks...

The poster initially caught SWIMS attention by the fact that the horse bucked and "ye-hawwed" from out the corner of SWIMs eye and when SWIM focused his attention to the poster noticed the scale tipping violently from side to side and then SWIM felt the sense that the grim reaper on the horse took on the appearance of the devil while the muscular brick comic book hero took on the role of GOD.

The grim reaper told SWIM (yes... again... this time too SWIM was having auditory hallucinations... ) that if SWIM sided with him (the devil) that SWIM would have whatever he wanted while living on this earth.. SWIM had images of lust and greed and earthly power...

Meanwhile ... the muscular comic book hero made of bricks that took on the likeness of GOD told SWIM that he would never turn his back on SWIM if SWIM sided with him and would always be there for SWIM under one exception being that if SWIM chose him there was no turning back.. SWIM could would never be able to change his mind once he accepted the offer...

SWIM with little thought to the issue felt the negative energy around the poster of the grim reaper and sensed the feeling that there was a hitch.. and believed that siding with that individual could possibly lead to everything SWIM could want that is earthly but SWIM felt that doing so would prevent SWIM from entering heaven and could possibly mean for SWIM to stay stuck on earth forever, even if although experiencing all that earth had to offer, ...eliminating the opportunity to ever experience what heaven has to offer for eternity...

SWIM felt the positive energy emmitted from the muscular comic book hero and sensed that his one demand being that SWIM could never turn away from him once he chose him was one of warmth for it meant that swim would be guaranteed entry into heaven even if the cost meant not having everything at his disposal while on earth like the devil had offered to SWIM..

With nearly a second or two of thought after the offer was made from both sides swim felt fear from the grim reaper's offer and sided with the comic book hero and upon doing so the grim reaper's horse began bucking violently and SWIM heard more auditory hallucinatios of what sounded like water that steams from a tea-kettle for which SWIM sensed that the grim reaper (i.e. devil) was furious that he was not chosen and was withering away under the mighty forces of the good from GOD.

SWIM says he'll stop with the stories of the hallucinations for now just to read some feedback from others before going into other ones. SWIM says he has a few that still readily come back to him. One of which happened quite recently while at Bonaroo this year that he would like to share so long as people don't mind hearing of it...

Seeing SWIM's face change to many people he knew and didn't know while looking in the mirror was one of the strongest

One night SWIM saw a whole housing estate, cars, kids toys everywhere etc. but then realised he was simply looking into a foggy and empty field!

There's many more SWIM could be here all night but the above two were with an LSD and Mushrooms combination on two different nights

It's classed differently by different sources. LSD isn't a hallucinogen in the strictest sense of the word as it all follows a pattern, sure it's a pattern of infinite complexity, but a pattern none the less. SWIM finds hallucinations to be more unpredictable and apparent during the comedown mostly if anything. The peak of a high dose can bring on wild hallucinations however.

SWIM, and his girlfriend, have done lsd, in sugar cube form, 4 times, all of which were 2 "hits" or "drops". The time before last, she had a lot of fun staring at the bathroom door, she eventually came to see satan, although he was quite strange, and I quote. "Colorful, Snot-nosed Satan!"

SWIM has yet to have anything of that calibur, so SWIM is thinking about doubling his dosage. hehehe seriously. or at least increasing it by 50%

Oh heck, SWIM'll bite.

This is a delusion, rather than an hallucination, but SWIM looks back on this experience with whimsy.

SWIM's strangest LSD experience occurred while peaking on 4 hits of highly regarded blotter. SWIM lost his mouth in a friend's car. SWIM searched frantically, and after finding nothing, screamed to his friends for help in finding SWIM's mouth.

SWIM's friends asked SWIM(I'll paraphrase here, as the details are a little blurry); "How is it that you are able to ask us where your mouth is, when you don't have a mouth?"

SWIM replied, "telepathically, like we always have, you bunch of F-heads!"

SWIM then called his friends insane, and again called for help in finding his mouth. This apparently went on for some time. Since SWIM was so far away, the concept of time didn't have anything remotely meaningful.

SWIM was ribbed about this for months afterward.

Once upon a time swim stood and stared closely at the surface of the moon for an hour, only to find out it was actually woodchip wall paper.
He also watched a pillow turn into Jimmy Hill (an English football pundit).
Another time he watched his friends body dissapear until only his head was left on a pillow talking to us, was very funny (it eventually grew back)

One 2 tabs of Hoffmans SWIM saw his arms turning into werewolf arms on one side them when he turned them over saw his skin being blown away to reveal the bone underneath.

On 2 tabs of brain acid SWIM saw his hands decomposing and small worms burrowing through them

Alright, with a full dose of Snuffadelic legal LSD, swim had the trip of his life. It began with some music in the background and some visualizations playing on the computer. After laying back on the bed and closing swim's eyes, the red light in the room caused a visual where the fires of hell were all around him, they then became extinguished by an ocean of sand and the pyramids of egypt which seemed to pop up from out of the ground. swim then proceded to fly through 'egypt' and land inside of a dark hole. upon landing, a complete wireframe spaceship formed up around swim wire by wire until completed and then took off up into space with swim inside of it looking out of the wireframe window at earth as its fading from view until swim opened his eyes. A completely unreal and insane experience unlike anything ever felt before. Definitely a great trip.

Since 2003 (the big Kansas bust), LSD has become completly scarce in Tallahassee, so SWIM resorts to his drug of choice...MUSHROOMS! The two weirdest thing that have happened on SWIM on mushrooms is SWIM became completley conviced that there was a 25 foot cricket outside his bedroom window and one time, when SWIM and his best friend were walking along a path around a lake in his neighborhood (it was night) SWIM stopped and grabbed his friend at the PRECISE moment SWIMS freind stopped and grabbed him. SWIMS vision became totally black and framed pictures of the weirdest thing like a queen with worms coming out of her face and a big hairy spider took over SWMS vision. Once again, at the PRECISE moment SWIMS friend did, SWIM turned around and ran about 25 yards in the other direction. At that time, SWIM stopped his freind and asked him why he had grabbed SWIM and then ran, Turned out SWIMS friend had the SAME EXACT hallucinations at the SAME EXACT time. It was really weird, but not scary. To this day (it happened two years ago) that expierence still comes up in conversations.

SWIM doesn't recall his hallucinations on acid too profoundly because he was stuck inside his mind trying to remember who he was for most of the duration of the trip. The funkiest thing he remembers seeing though was cigarettes climbing out of their ash trays and crawling around the table.

swim has never done a high enough dose of lsd to have any profound hallucinations although swim awaits the moment. about half the times swim's done mushrooms though the same exact fucking bug comes back. he looks like a prehistoric 4 foot cochroach that usually starts as a CEV and then crawls onto the wall. this only happens with real 'visual' shrooms though not those crazy mindfuck ones.

The craziest thing I can remember is looking at this dog laying on it's belly and I looked at it and it looked like it was two headed. I couldn't figure out which end was which. It seemed like there was another head where the dog's tail should be. I was tripping out and finally realized it was just the way the dog was sitting. It was weird.

Another time, I remember seeing my friend's turn into demons. It was like I was looking into their true souls or something and staring at pure evil. They looked like evil goblins or something. I was freaking out to say the least.

This one was scary, and the beginning of a very intense, bad trip for swim.
Everything was going fine. Easy steady progression toward peak on a five hit strip. They had turned down the lights and pulled out a hide-a-bed to lie down and listen to music. It started with the Beatles, swim thinks. All of the sudden, Voodoo Chile came on. As the opening Guitar riff started, Daemons flowed like water out of the speakers that were mounted above the door level on a very high wall. The room contorted and began to "groove" as it were, to the music. All that evening, wherever swim looked, instead of seeing paisley patterns and the breathing effect, all he could see were contorted demonic faces, whose facial expression matched his emotional state. If he was scared, they looked menacing, etc...
The funniest was similar. he was beginning to peak, and he sat down on his comfy chair and looked out his window. On each leaf of a very full tree outside his window was a reflection of himself, framed by red and blue bubbles. Well this made swim laugh, which made his reflections laugh, which made swim laugh even harder! he eventually had to leave the situation or risk passing out.
Its a shame, though. He tells me he can't trip anymore, because there always baaad. Like evil from the pits of hell bad.

Bad trips can stick with you for a mighty long time. SWIM's worst night of acid experiences took him out of a university for an extended spell as he tried to re-assemble himself. He didn't take any further voyages for many years. Mushrooms in a desert setting nurtured him back, and brought with them a deep spirituality he'd been chasing for years on acid. Nature and mushrooms were the perfect recalibration. Now swim reserves mushrooms for extended camping trips in the desert, like to burningman, and he's found that DMT can be quite colorfully enlightening and brisk, permitting him to maintain a professional, successful life in the default world and still tug on the hem of a god.

wow where to begin. i geuss the single most "trippy" thing swim expierenced was while sitting out side a friends apartment over looking part of the city on 5 hits realizing that everything was brainwash and we were all like robots that someone is controling. although SWIM had his fair share of visual halusinations (believe me) the most intense ones BY FAR were what was going on inside as he learned the "truths" about the world (his truths about his world). this single thought on this single trip began a jouney that lasted several years with each new trip shining some new ideas and prospectives to the world around him. this was the turning point from when it went from recreational to meaningful. nothing was ever the same after this night. that was in 1992 and lasted till 1997 when that journey was completed. it was a trip that not only lived 14 hours on the chemical but crossed the lines and followed outside the drug world into the real one. it was present everyday and was a trip that the user himself shared alone as noone he knew at that time could fully comprehend the magnitude of this staggering enlightenment that is, the evolution of this thought previously mentioned. after this, there were no bad trips and no good trips. it was all the same trip, just another step in the journey which SWIM had to finish. it was strange looking back, SWIM was almost sober on acid after this in the sence that sober or with a head full of acid the only difference were the colors and the trails and the intensity of the thoughts expierenced (keeping in mind before this night swim had taken at least 40 hits and at least 150 after this night) everyone would come to swim for guidence if their trip was scary or confusing or just to laugh. swim became the permanent guide. swim often got 'cid free just because they felt more secure knowing he was there. Funny thing is, it always felt like swim was miles away, much like a parent helping a child with a coloring book while inside thinking about how next months rent was going to be paid.

i know that the origional poster was wanting short responses about bright lights and gremlins popping out of tv's and stuff, but lsd is so much more then just colours and perma-grins. its truely one of the most fascanating chemicals ever made.
