Substance not ketamine?
SWIM had an odd experience recently with 'ketamine' or something being passed as such in London.
SWIM has been taking ketamine on and off for 8 years nasaly. SWIM knows what it feels like in the brain. SWIM knows what it tastes like and what different tolerance levels vs intakes will generally feel like. This is not it. The dissassociative quality is nullified. In fact whilst it is disorientating and does affect vision and balance in a similar way, it is almost uplifting, leaving a tingling sensation in the top of the brain long after any other effect has worn off.
There is nothing even resembling the road to a k-hole. The vision is affected only in clarity. There are no leading trails of thought, forking out in the normal way that even a small bump of real K will - even when taking half gram lines after recooking and/or after a break from the substance.
This compound comes on like ketamine, in waves, but it feels as if it engages different parts of the brain. The taste is so strong that it is almost unbearable when it is snorted. It's appearance is crystal shards. SWIM has seen real ketamine similar to this but this other substance tends to have longer, thicker, more glass-like shards. Crushing these up into a fine powder does not change the effect.
SWIM has ruled out tolerance/dosage as a possible factor. SWIM has also known the supplier for a long time and has been told by the supplier that there is another substance mascarading as K. SWIM is unsure of the name but thinks it is something like Ty-something-min and is more sugarlike in appearance.
Does anyone have any ideas what the substance described above is? SWIM would like to know what has mistakenly entered their body.
