Fingerprints
SWIM's hamburger was arrested about 4 months ago for reasons he wont go into on here, but no charges were pressed. However he did have his prints taken. The hamburger was told that if he didn't get into any more trouble with the law over the next 6 months, no charges would be pressed and his fingerprints would be wiped from the system.
SWIM's hamburger wanted me to ask, what are the chances they actually delete the prints? Sounds very unlikely to SWIM, does anyone know anyone in the police or have any personal experience? SWIM thinks that they probably can't use prints as evidence but they would still keep them. Any inf? |

Re: Fingerprints
Not only will they keep them they are now entered in a data base, unless of course your from like podunk, USA then the little one cop police station its possible. But in any type of suburb setting they are there. And if he were to commit murder and they had prints and he was a suspect they would use them against him. Keep in mind its not frickin CSI where in 10 minutes a computer spits out a match. You have to have a suspect to compare the prints to. But dont think for a minute that wouldn't happen.
xcook2001 added 1 Minutes and 23 Seconds later... i guess I should really look at where u people are from before I answer my bad I will get better at it. that was an american law answer. My bad. Last edited by xcook2001; 22-05-2009 at 03:05. Reason: Automerged Doublepost |

Re: Fingerprints
MM yeah, that's what I thought. What would be more helpful though is if anyone has got any evidence either way, ie: first hand exp?

Re: Fingerprints
If SWIY has an official agreement (paperwork, signatures?) that after 6 months, if said precursors were met, there would be no record or crime then SWIM would think they can never use those prints against you in court.
SWIM had an experience like this, and in the paperwork it said the prints and record would not exist. So, SWIM thinks you'll be alright in court, but the dirty cops may still be able to find you if they keep them (I have no idea if they are stored somewhere, but it seems in this day and age the CIA knows all ).Etdd
