Influencing nerve stimulation

Whenever SWIM has been encapsulated within a supreme and catatonic high, he feels an apparition of a sensitive point on his body. He feels like there is a little... ball of energy. The crazy thing is, he can control this ball. Even better, he can endow the ball with feelings of light pleasure that seems to calm, relax, and sooth whatever point he concentrates the ball upon. He finds himself moving it all around his body, simply for the amazement at the experience.

SWIM also feels, when he is really high, that he can feel his brain hurt. Like actually point out the general location. It feels to be resonating from his rear-ventral occipital... anyway, is there any way that SWIM could actually pinpoint aggravation in his brain? Could SWIM, somehow, tap into his nerves when he is high, and actually elicit some sort of distinguishable reaction?

Or, is this ALL in SWIM's brain. His brain itself controls his reality, could his brain figure out a way to synthesise that pleasurable feeling?

Another question, probably more medically grounded, but SWIM noticed while he was slightly tripping on diphenhydramine that his foot started to get slightly... numb. When he would swing his toes back and forth, pretty violently, he would get a shot of... aggravated pleasure shoot up his legs. At that very moment, SWIM's visuals would jump exponentially, if he kept it up, his reality would shift... as though he was falling. He only knows this because he was staring at a shadow, and when he did this, the shadow constricted inward. When he stopped, it would slowly expand outward. I assume it was occular, thoughts?

Re: Influencing nerve stimulation

The process of percieving, creating and manipulating that "ball of energy" is known as "manipulating psi", "chi", etc, and is also practicised by people without the help of psychoactives, only by the use of the mind. But some psychoactives surely helps it a lot!
Its said that some masters of this art can even cure some diseases just by manipualating their pacients "energy" this way...

Re: Influencing nerve stimulation

Tim Leary's 8-circuit model explained in this thread might be an interesting read. It sounds like you are describing the 5th circuit, neurosomatic bliss.
