Oral use - found Propoxyphene-n

Sorry if this isn't the right section but hare it is.

Well i found an old bottle the my mom doesn't use any more. The bottle says "MFG QUALITEST - substitute for Darvocet" . Each pill is 100mg Propoxyphene-N and 650mg APAP I'm assuming since it says "Propoxyphene-N 100 W/ APAP 650 Tabs. I have heard of people taking like 3 or 4 and getting a nice buz. There's only 6 left in the bottle so I'm not to worried about getting hooked. Well I just took 3 of them about an hour ago and i red i should be feeling this effects about now. Is that right? I just wana make sure i don't od or any thing. I also took nutmeg earlier today and am feeling that now but it is week due to my Torrence (This is about my 6th time taking nut meg and i dicovered it about 4 months ago). Usually Just smoke M but I out. Oh and am i supost to say SWIM or somthing cuz it seems like allot of people do that?

Porpoxyphene is a mild subtle drug and people usually use around that dose when they want a recreational dose. The problem with it is it causes respiratory depression at very low doses and the acetaminophen. Everyone here uses swim you may want to read the rules.

Thanks.. SWIM notices there is no edit button I heard the toxic level of acetaminophen in one day is 3 to 4 grams but on yahoo ansers. SWIM took 1950mg of it and have 2600mg left in those last 4 pills. Maybe next i'll spread out the pill taking time period like i did this time, like take 2 pills and then an hour later take 2 more. I wonder why its so hard to find info on this stuff.

SWIM took 2 and then an hour later he took 2 more. He smoked weed 2 hours before his first 2 pills and 2 hours after his last 2 pills and he was high the hole time!.

He got kinda scared and freaked out, he thought that he might have overdosed but he didn't have any sytems of an overdose. He is just super high high. And he only has 2 bowls. He like oh these other 2 are kickin in!!!!! help

5:40PM-7:30 2 bowls
8:30PM 2 Pills
10:15PM 1 pill
10:40 1 pill
He notices hes still high 5 hours his last bowl!
11:00 now 2 bowls
its 11:50 now
And then hes like woo but the scary effects are waring off he says. He is going to put this drug down and never mess with it unless i have pain or on some rare occasion. He said hes glad he took it. Well its kinda going on in off. I just takin deep breaths.

he might have overdosed. he layed on my bed and if he shut his eye;s he stoped breathing so he said he'll stay awake. he also started burping and felt slight nosea. And also shaky

hes kinda falling asleep his chair some time but hes trying to stay awake. Some times when i'heslistening to music all he hares is the simbles and nothing else. He have no trouble breething as long as he remembers to and he can do push ups fine

That was fun lol. I'm alive. I guess i shouldn't have done the forth one. It was stuff. I ges i don't post the part ware i freaked out and said oh no i overdosed. I didn't od tho.

It belongs in the opiate forums, and it's pretty much as OhCasey said, frankly i think it's worthless, possibly the weakest opioid around at least the weakest one can think of. It definitely isn't worth extracting the paracetamol let alone overdosing on the paracetamol in an attempt to get some recreational effect, which would be marginal at best.

It might be fine at recommened theraputic doses for mild headaches and toothache, other than that it's worthless. Wikiepdia states...

The MHRA's motivation for the withdrawal of co-proxamol [Dextropropoxyphene and paracetamol] was the the reduction in suicides and a key part of its justification of its decision was based upon studies purporting to show that co-proxamol was no more effective than paracetomal alone in pain management. The scientific correctness of these studies has been disputed, and many doctors as well as patients believe that clinical experience shows co-proxamol is more effective and paracetamol alone.
