I've snorted Adderall many times before but lately it's been totally different and I can't really describe how it felt either of the ways so if anyone could please tell me how it's supposed to feel that would be great so I could know if I got the proper effects before or right now. I'm thinking this may be a cross-reaction with one of my other meds because the same amount after the same length of time [enough for my tolerance to drop] feels totally different.

Well, first of all, what other meds are you taking? There are
lots of medicines that would be affected by amphetamines, and not
always in the way you'd imagine... Furthermore, it's hard to say
what you "should" be feeling, as it really varies from person to
person. Especially in the case of adderall, which often affects
people with ADD in ways drastically different from those looking for
recreational usage.

I'm on topemax and zoloft now & i was on trileptal and celexa before.

It's just been totally different the past few times and I'm wondering what the fuck that is & if it's being "affected" by stuff now and my previous experience wasnormal or if my current experience is normal and it was "affected" by other things before.

Well, it certainly could be an interaction with the medicine, as mixing
ANY two (or three) psychotropic medicines together is not at all
unlikely to cause some sort of interaction... That said, without
knowing what your experiences were like, it's impossible to say exactly
what happened, if it is indeed an interaction, or if perhaps other
factors altered the effects of the Adderall. For instance, the
experience would be changed significantly depending on how much sleep
you'd recieved the previous night, eating/not eating, or if there were
still any other drugs in your system that you haven't mentioned.

That said, many people (though every experience varies greatly)
experience a decreased need for sleep (which may or may not mean you
feel very energetic), an increased ability or desire to focus, becoming
more talkative, etc... In my experience, however, it's entirely
possible to have a great experience on the drug one day, but the next
time you take it you feel little more than tingly hands, a nasty
headache, crankiness, and an inability to sleep long after the medicine
wears off...

ETA: Forgot to mention that you didn't mention whether you used the
same dosage or the possibilty that they were different formulations of
Adderall -- eg, using IR one time and XR the next...

It's been the same dosage, taken the same way [insuffalated], same type [non-XR], etc. & I've done it plenty of times and it's been the same for like six months and it's just suddenly become so different.

Partially it's that I no longer get psychotic comedowns where I like comb through the carpet looking through specks of drugs and spend nine hours [always nine, no idea why] doing whatever I can to get my hands on mroe drugs and having that "fear of comedown" thing before I have it, too.

The experience itself is somewhat different, too, although I can't really describe it, just that it's more ... I don't know, placid, I guess.

I'm more comfortable staring at the carpet being in my own head than pacing around HAVING to talk to somebody, gnawing off the inside of my mouth, etc. etc.

It's a bit difficult to describe but the difference is just so sudden and dramatic that I'm wondering what the fuck could have caused it and which of the feelings is the normal one.
