Dose - Need help with oxycontin dosage

SWIM has been digging through cabinets and came across a prescription bottle half full of blue 160 mg oxycontin tablets. SWIM smokes weed almost every day and has had an experience with DXM but is interested in trying opiates. Can SWIY please help SWIM find out how much SWIM should take (orally) for a pleasant/euphoric trip?

SWIM heard 40mg is a beginners dose for codeine, you could find a conversion chart perhaps?

Split it into at least 4 parts, as 40mgs is a pretty strong dose for someone who hasn't tried opiates. Even 20mgs should really give a good buzz.

swiy should take a low dose like 10 or 20 mg to begin and then based on that dose swiy can increase as you feel the need...but since breaking this tablet into 16 pieces will be nearly impossible, swim would say to take 20 mg...

Start low, as Shulgin said, "You can always increase your dosage, but never decrease". Find the dosage that is right for you. This should be around 15-25mg orally. Swim would advise to start around 10 and build your way up. This isn't the most fun method of consumption but what's an extra 5 minutes to multiple hours of nodding.

yup... 15-20mg would probably be a great starting point.

i was just getting into opiates around the time they stopped making the 160mg oc's; never saw one, but whatever... 2 80s will work just as well instead.

should also probably mention that opiates can be/are highly addictive. just remember to be respectful of this notion.

wow thats pretty lucky, if swim ever found smthing like that hes hve a huge smile and just be like "jackpot"!!!. but seriously use with caustion and dont take them all in a few days as it will leave you wanting more

Thanks fellas. SWIM will start with 20mg orally and work my way up as tollerance will build. SWIM also came across a container with nine 10mg oxycodone. Would it be the same if SWIM took two of those?

A milligram is a milligram no matter how you look at it. 2 x 10 is the same as 80 divided into 4.

Swim has been lucky enough to find some 10mg methadones and 3 10mg percocets,and a fast 5...and some tusinex..but thats about it...the more swim looks now the more pissed he gets when he comes up empty

When swim started with oc he started with just a wimpy 10mg,but little did he know that 10mg was plenty for first time,even now swim can have fun with 10-20mg years later,although...swim boots everything to get the most from them now.....

Hello Jstoned,it looks like you hit the junky lottery..........
But since you stated you don't have any physical tolerance to opiates,and that is not a bad thing by the way.......
Swiy should do himself a favor and disregard others mg starting points,what someone Else's body can tolerate can be very different from your own,so 20Mg to some may feel like 160mg to others and visa-versa.
Research the hell out of the subject and make your own decisions (as a rule,lowest starting dose would be safer to start)...dunno but swim is seeing red flags.

SWIM hopes that SWIY was searching his own cabinet because the person SWIY "could" be stealing from might really need them for pain relief. If they really are 160mg SWIM is guessing that this person is in a lot of pain
