Drug info - on mdma while having a concert???

hello
i just wanted to ask if you know how it would be to play a concert on mdma in a psychedelic/rock band, playing guitar and singing. would i still have the control over my music ? will it help to connect with the crowd ?
pros and cons maybe? thank you very much for your help

Swim is a musician and he wouldn't dream of playing for people while on MDMA, particularly with an instrument which requires such fine technique as the violin. In a concert setting, when many other players are depending on themselves and swiy, it is best to be certain one is in full command of their faculties.

It all depends on how good the player is, how difficult the music is, and what dose of MDMA is taken. Personally swim wouldnt try performing on MDMA (even a small dose) as it effects his memory way too much to be able to properly play. If swiy is playing rhythm it would be tricky to remeber the chord changes, if its just sort of improvisation in one key then belting out some standard pentatonic stuff may not be too bad. But really swiy should probably try jamming on MDMA at some point before chancing it on stage to see how it goes.

Having a jam on mdma with SWIY's band/Friends/whoever in a private arena is a definite YES from SWIM, doing this has forged some great bonds and been great fun.

SWIM has seen one of her jamming friends on stage pilled up, it wasn't terrible as such, but he was not a patch on usual performance. guitar-wise it seemed as if his fingers were having to play catch up with his brain, and his solos were not as good as prev performances.

Only do it if everyone in the audience has an instrument as well and is wrecked off pills too

I recommend trying it out during practice or something. It also depends upon your audience. For example, before the psychedelic hippie revolution the grateful dead performed at Ken Keseys gatherings under the effects of LSD, not much conventional music was played when they were under the effects (lol) but it was more of a weird experimentation with sound and the guitar. If your croud doesnt mind you going off on tangents that might be completley rubbish or sound strangeley interesting, then i would recomend playing under the effects of different substances, if not then try to avoid unless you have done it during practice with your friends as the audience.
