Question Piracetam dosing schedule/regime

What would be a good dosing regime for piracetam for someone starting with piracetam intake?

Re: Piracetam dosing schedule/regime

Experience with piracetam says that there is a wide range of responses between individuals to the same dose, and that the dose for an individual is determined largely by their reason for taking it. A lot of people say to start with an attack dose of 3 or 4 grams divided evenly into 3 or 4 doses throughout the day, or a period of 5 days, but the monkey in my closet has a) never needed an attack dose or understood why it is purportedly necessary and b) found itself quite sensitive to piracetam, never wishing to consume more than 1.5 grams per day.

The monkey recommends a dose of 1 gram with breakfast and a half gram after lunch, this is for them a strong dose, and they say not to forget that taking piracetam late in the day can cause insomnia. Also, the amount of piracetam that is necessary to produce the desired effect will be scaled down if it is administered concurrently with other nootropics and/or caffeine.

And don't forget to add a good source of choline, either lecithin granules or a couple of eggs with the yolk are sufficient, the monkey doesn't think you need to get fancy unless you're looking to take some alpha-gpc, which they have found a good nootropic in its own right.

For clarification, a good dosing regime looks like this:

5 day attack dose (if desired): 3-4 g/day spread throughout the day
Maintenance dose: 1-1.5 g/day, split up in the early morning and afternoon.

Very informative answer and just what the OP was asking for.
