Weight - 0.1mg scales

Can you get scales that go down to 0.1 mg? They would be very handy to have when weighing substances active in submilligram amounts. I've never seen any personally. Lowest I've seen is 0.5mg. I'm guessing if they do exist they're not cheap.

Why yes, there is scales that will read to the .0001mg. Below is a picture.

Whoa, thats crazy. Guess we're talking about nearly thousands of dollars or pounds for .0001mg accuracy. And you'd probably need a vacuum chamber for anything below that or air pressure, wind and dust would just interfere with the weight.

There are the reseach chemicals that use .001mg scales but what drugs use the .0001mg scales ?

Well if using RC swim would advise scale that go down to 0.001 as some dosages are around 10mg to 20mg. The problem with 0.01 scaels is that your unable to measure anything between 10mg and 20mg. Which could result if a too heavy of a trip.

As for the 0.0001 well swim uses em at work and even a slight breeze can upset the scales. They can be difficult at times to work with as they are very sensitive, to dust air et, so care is needed.

Can rc's be used with a .0001 scale ? Like the real potent ones like 5-meo-amt would be a better idea to measure with a.0001 instead of a .001 scale ?

Well using a .001 scale would give swim around a min dosage measurement of 10mg +/- 5mg depending on how good the scales are. Though according to erowid the 5-meo-amt dosages is 1mg to 15mg, so swim would need scales that go down to 0.0001 as 1mg is the minimum they can weigh.

But as swim said you would need a draft free room to accurately measure with them and not forgetting swim would have to calibrate them before hand as well.

Wait a minute, do you mean 0.0001g? Or 0.0001mg? Theres quite a difference between the two

I think you mean 0.0001g. Thats why I was so amazed previously, as 0.0001mg accuracy would be 0.0000001g accuracy. Which kinda boggled me

0.0001g accuracy is the same as 0.1mg accuracy.

My mates just thinking of measuring a couple of substances in the coming days active below 1mg (phenazepam, and some other that you need even less of) so was thinking about an upgrade of scales.

.1g=100.0mg, & this:1000 micrograms = 1 milligram, and 1000 milligrams = 1 gram.

So the scales you quoted as .0001mg are accurate to 0.1µg?

0.1µg = 0.1 micrograms. µ meaning micro, so they are the same thing.

And 0.1mg = 0.0001g.

You make a silly mistake? Or am I having a silly day? We cant both be right

Have been known to make a few every now and then. Last mistake could have been horrifying if cowboy trusted his scales. Measuring a dose of DOC and luckily his scales went under instead of over. However, you are right and I is wrong.

swim has purchased quite a few mg accurate scales who's price can be acceptable for the amature swiy... anything sub-milligram accurate are probably not worth swiy's money.

my ferret says that you shouldn't screw with chems you can't accuratly measure... and if you do, start low and be very very careful.

0.01 can be found for very reasonable prices with a quick google search.

it all depends what particular rc swim plans to use them for.
