Does my little brother have ADHD; How to help him.

I'm asking this question for my little brother - not me. This really is a legit question that isn't "SWIMified"(Awesome word)

Lately I've been thinking I have Inattentive ADD, but I'm too scared to ask my mom to get me tested. I don't know why, but I'm just so darn scared of asking.
Anyway, I really need a way to ask her to get me tested for ADD because I'm starting to get really scared for my future life due to the inability to get anything done. How can I do that?
My grades have been slowly dropping since 7th grade. I tend to zone out a lot and tap my fingers constantly. I can't read anything boring or hard to read and I tend to be kind of lazy and amotivated. I can't finish any projects and I can't do my homework because I always feel it's too late and just not worth it, and, though I really want to get work done, I end up not doing it and getting bad grades. I'm honestly a pretty intelligent student, and my teachers acknowledge this, but I'm kind of lazy and amotivated, and my teachers also comment about that.
Also, I tend to be obsessed with the way my posture is. Whenever I feel like I'm slouching, I straighten up or crack my back because I feel like it will help. I'm telling you this because I hear that ADD tends to come along with other types of disorders, and I think this may be OCD.
