"Natural Drugs" a bad term.

SWIM is a brand new member here with no respect, no trust, or anything of that sort. SWIM does not expect much from this but feels that pointing this out may benefit the community.

Is referring to the relaxation effects of herbs such as Kratom as a "high" really a wise idea? In fact, is referring to any Herb's effects as a high a good idea? SWIM sees it all over the Ethnobotanicals forum and feels it is a tad misleading and to say the least very untrue. The reason being is that talking about this on forums, telling a bunch of people about it, and being too open about it will lead to their eventual illelgalization sooner instead of later. Many of these herbs are also discussed as "Drugs" which is quite ridiculous in my opinion. Kratom is already noted by the D.E.A. which definitely means someday the Government will ban it in the false name of "Safety." Others will follow if talked about too much.

Don't get SWIM wrong he is for talking about it and discussing it but feels that it is better to keep any sort of words pertaining to drugs or their effects as far away from these plants as possible. SWIM is very careful when talking to people about Herbs and keeps it among his small group of friends all of which are mature enough to handle it. Every SWIMMER here knows that letting the word out on things like this leads to their demise due to the fact that there are a lot of foolish young people who spread the word around to other foolish young people. Namely, highschool students who are trying to impress friends by Drug use. This is how drugs circulate to the masses of people that have no responseability and no self-control. SWIM sounds like an elitist asshole but you know that this is true.

SWIM would hate to see more of these plants made illegal simply because somebody heard about it through some random source and OD'ed. It's bound to happen sooner or later, and later sounds much better. Keeping these plants as nothing more than natural remedies, essence, and the like will help in protecting them.

This is merely a discussion topic. SWIM just felt that he should express this opinion and see what others SWIMMERS have to say.

P.S. SWIM hopes he followed the rules because he did read them. Just a lot to remember haha.
