Unhappy URGENT: Addicted to Arctic Synergy, ~ 3 months none stop, last pack!

SWIM is in trouble, he's smoked over 50 grams of Spice Arctic Synergy none stop every day for months, redosing heavily every hour or so or experiencing severe and overwhelmingly powerful cravings and withdraw after meer hours, both psychological and physiological. (conversely swim will get bursts of mind warping euphoria just thinking about his next fix, supressing screams of excitement and bursts of energy just seeing his bong)
Wake up, smoke, munchies, smoke, munchies, smoke, fall asleep, repeat.
But here's the kicker: SWIM is down to his last 3g pack and cannot source anymore so will use this opportunity to quit
SWIM needs to wean himself off gradually with this last pack, could someone please be so kind as to advice how best this could be done?
SWIM is considering finding a different legal high to smoke during withdraw to help, then stop that after 3g
maybe something like smoke so much every hour, then every 2 hours, then every 3 etc? so when its gone the 'cold turkey' is not so bad

please help, as swim is desperate, and will have to open this last pack in the morning

Re: URGENT: Addicted to Arctic Synergy, ~ 3 months none stop, last pack!

Are cannabinoids (sp?) known to be addictive? Just having something to smoke, yah know, can help ease the desire to smoke another. SWIY could also check out some other smoking blends from his shop, preferribly without any psychoactive ingrediants in his current. SWIY could also try smoking mint :P SWIM thinks the taste is not horrid.

Sorry I can't be of more help :/ If SWIY has the willpower, he can cope! Hang in there!

Please be careful and consider editing this post. It seems like SWIY is encouraging an illegal activity and that is not ...

Re: URGENT: Addicted to Arctic Synergy, ~ 3 months none stop, last pack!

Swiy, get some damiana. It may not have much of an effect, but its more than tobacco, it tastes better, and there's no nicotine. It makes an awesome tea also. Swim doesn't know what its like to be addicted to spice, but since spice is sprayed with cannaboids, it should be a similar come off of weed. Swim had to quit smoking because swim got horrible paranoia and he didnt know what to do for a while, he couldnt sleep and he got cravings even tho it made swim paraniod. But after smokin damiana (best to do out of a water pipe) swim doesnt feel the need to smoke buds anymore. Hope this helps man.

P.S. Damiana is normally offered at herb stores and many online shops.

Re: URGENT: Addicted to Arctic Synergy, ~ 3 months none stop, last pack!

Just a thought....

I donno about spice synergy but caneff synergy contains mesembrine which is an SSRI.... altho it is reported to be less addictive than proscription SSRIs SWIM found when using it to help withdraw from Celexa that each day at approximately the same time each day the SSRI with drawals would come back. This happened even at very very small doses of sceletium near the end and finally SWIM had to just give in and face the WD's. They were however significantly less intense than SWIM perceived direct withdrawl form Celexa.

Re: URGENT: Addicted to Arctic Synergy, ~ 3 months none stop, last pack!

do you think SWIM should go for as long as possible without it and then only have a little when he needs it, then hopefully it'll be longer till the next time and he'll need it less etc untill all gone?

Alf really doesn't want to be rude, impolite or excessively sarcastic so he will say only that this is most irresponsible advice he has heard in a long while. He means suggesting smoking nicotine as a replacement for Spice, of course.

Being heavily addicted chain-smoker for 19 years, now free for 174 days can tell swiy that this is one of the most harmful addictions known to men and one of the hardest to quit, together with alcohol and opiates.

He is also heavily addicted to cannabis but it's not a problem for him going without it for a day, a week or maybe even for a month. When he was addicted to nicotine he was able to go without it too - for 12 hours, sometimes... During his whole life he met hundreds of smokers and maybe 2-3 persons that were able to control their nicotine intake. Nicotine addiction is a nasty bitch. Addiction to cannabis (and cannabinoids) is just a troublesome puppy.

There must be some proper English expression (unknown to me) but in Polish we say that someone "exchanged plague for cholera" to describe something like this. Or maybe this comparison will be more apt: someone says "I'm addicted to snorting amphetamine, what can I do to cope with this?" and the advice is "Snort heroin". Alf hopes swiy got the idea.

AW: URGENT: Addicted to Arctic Synergy, ~ 3 months none stop, last pack!

Well I ignore all that crap which was postet here and get back to topic.
SWIM had a similar problem with regular weed, he smoked it for 4-5 years daily (about 5-7 grams a day). The coming down was very unpleasent for SWIM, but it´s not for a long time, so don´t be afraid. The first day sucks, also you will have serious trouble to sleep. But you will realise it´s getting better every day and after about one week it´s gone completely.
SWIM would not advice to take any other substance to get rid of the withdrawl, the most important thing is that you find something which is fun to you and keeps you busy. This for example could be a nice computer game or good books, the withdrawl from cannabinoids are not so bad that you can´t concentrate on anything else anymore. Also you will have a strong feeling of weariness, but go over that shadow and read, play or anything else and your withdrawl is over fast.

Re: AW: URGENT: Addicted to Arctic Synergy, ~ 3 months none stop, last pack!

can i ask what method(s) SWYM used to consume that much a day? SWIM has found that above 3g and they begin to have significant respiratory distress form the smoke or vapor itself.

SWIM says he used a bong and had good technique so it was warm but rarely hot, but he still had a cough and lungs that felt dirty and not so good

Re: URGENT: Addicted to Arctic Synergy, ~ 3 months none stop, last pack!

Anyone who has any addiction would be well advised (by SWIM) to have a go at San Pedro (8-12 inches) and stand in front of a mirror and just take a good look at yourself - SWIM spontaneously gave up alcohol for 5 months without even wanting to a coupla years ago - had to get pissed a couple of times in that period just to prove that there really was no desire for it. Also, Salvia divinorum allegedly has anti-addictive qualities - i think the key is to state your intent before the session, then ask (yourself) for help in overcoming what you want to - hope this helps someone.
Having said all that I agree with Drats' post - the first few days of cannabinoid withdrawal can be tough ("gotta get back to normal!!!") but then after that it's all good, and using something else may not really be the solution - although the psychedelics are not really substituting, they cut to the root of the situation. good luck mate.
