Effects - Writing on MDMA

SWIM wants to know if writing on mdma in powder form would be possible. In a story SWIM had been writing the main character unknowingly ingests a capsule as an attempt to stay awake while driving.

Here's SWIM's situation. SWIM got a hold of around 200mg of mdma powder. SWIM has taken ecstasy twice before, but it didn't work(SWIM is a heavier fellow). He decided not to take any more pills and just take molly if he ever came across it. SWIM would like to know if snorting a small amount of the powder (20-25mg) would allow him to write. SWIM wants to be able to turn the feelings of first time mdma consumption into words or at least attempt to. Would snorting 20-25mg give SWIM enough of an mdma glow that he would be able to write? If so would SWIM's though process under the influence yield a coherent result? SWIM is also planning on doing this tonight, so a quick reply would be greatly appreciated.

If SWIY has pure MDMA, he may find a positive increase in expression :P Serotonin, more heavily influenced by MDMA than other amphetamines, is corresponded to mood... It is what helps to create that auro of love and connectivity.

SWIM is prescribed lisdexamphetamine for depression, and he finds amphetamines don't really help him focus his thoughts. The manic state actually potentiates SWIM's "ADD" symptoms, and he finds his brain enters a manic haze :P

MDMA, though, may be different.

SWIM would say that 20mg MDMA may not do much for SWIM orally... But SWIM may not have experienced a 'real' and 'good' "ecstacy" pill.

SWIM would have to experience it himself, it sounds like he has plenty of powder. SWIM would suggest OP try 20mg orally... the come-on will be slower, easier, and SWIM could make more distinctions on the influx of experience. Insufflation may just jump SWIY into a manic state... Yet, SWIM knows some people who get really really calm on MDMA... If you are alike those persons, you may just feel the love without the energy :P

SWIM would also like to note, 10mg dextroamphetamine insufflated provided SWIM with a decent high. Methamphetamine is stronger.

SWIM would personally not expect to feel any effects at such a small dosage - even under the assumption that the product was very pure. Would suggest a dosage of ~80-100mg (possibly an additional 50mg after 45mins), both to actually experience Ecstasy/MDMA as intended, and also because this is closer to the amount that your character would be likely to ingest when ingesting the capsule.

This might be a bit like trying to write about bungee-jumping while actually doing it. SWIM isn't convinced that it is entirely doable without being utterly incomprehensible. However, the results will be interesting, regardless!

In my opinion you should do it how others such as Hunter S Thompson did it. Get a tape recorder and keep that record button pressed down, then sort through the mess after SWIY comes down to hopefully extract something usable
