Help coming off the Adderall
Such a long and painstaking process to make a post here, but here goes...
Swim has been on the adderall for 3 years and has been looking to get off the evil orange pill forever, the problem swim has is that swim has so much responsibility with school and work that swim can't afford to get off the crap for more than two days because of the extreme lethargy and amotivational syndrome... not only that but people accost my dog for being a lazy bum and not really knowing that she has issues.
Perhaps some of it's mental, but probably the biggest reason swim doesn't want to stop taking it altogether is because swim gains 10-20 pounds after a week or two of stopping treatment as swim has a never ending appetite for pizza, nachos, cheese, more cheese, mashed potatoes, too many doritos, french onion dip, etc. etc.
Any advice or tips on beating the appetite and laziness that were successful for Swiy? Swim is really wanting to get off the stims this summer, and is really looking forward to being able to finally take naps, not suffer from perpetual dry mouth, not get so jumpy when someone comes to talk to him, not dread the 530 crash, not feeling the compulsion to have a ciggarette when the amps are coming on strong, and just not having his senses dulled and walking around like a self-pitying zombie all the time.
