Journal - Coming off Nitrazepam?

Hamster saw Vet this morning ... and Vet would not agree to prescribe Diazepam to help her come off. She said "keep on taking Citalopram 10mg, we may have to up it to 20mg, see how it goes. You may like to go back onto Atarax/Ucerax, but you can't take both. Try and reduce the number of Nitrazepam you are taking. But we need to get to the root of your anxiety .. so see the Mental Health Practitioner on Monday for half an hour"

Hamster came home even more anxious, confused and very upset and is finding it hard to concentrate .... but what can Hamster do? Hamster changed Vets a few years ago, so can't really go back to previous practice. And would it look strange if Hamster asked to see a different Vet at this practice?

Vet said, "I'm your Vet and I have your best interests at heart. You may have been reading up the subject too much and too much information can be confusing"

Hamster still not happy ..... so attempt to come off Benzos is somewhat hampered to say the least.
