Ketamine vibrations?

When entering a trip, or altered state of k mind, swim usually feels vibrations running thorugh his body, starting slowly then becoming much faster and harder. Swim's body seems to respond to this and he can almost control what a trip will be like if he uses his thoughts.

What is the reason for these bodily vibrations throughout?

I've searched this and never found an answer
