Is anyone going ?
Swim only found out about this today ![]() Swim would of gone there as we need someone from the drug culture to report and put our views forward. Though we are looking for a respectable dressed person and not a hippy type if we are to be taken seriously. hxxp://drugs.homeoffice.gov.uk/news-events/events/acmd-open-meeting-may-2009 The Advisory Council for the Misuse of Drugs (ACMD) invites members of the public to its third open meeting on 14 May 2009. The ACMD is a statutory and non-executive, non-departmental public body, established by the Misuse of Drugs Act (MDA) 1971. The ACMD has a statutory duty to keep under review the situation in the United Kingdom with respect to the misuse of drugs and to advise ministers of the measures which they consider should to be taken to deal with social problems which arise from drug misuse. In addition, the ACMD has a duty to consider any matter relating to drug dependence or misuse that may be referred to them by ministers. The Home Secretary is obliged by law to consult the ACMD before laying orders or making regulations. [top]Attending the meetingThe meeting will be held in London, commencing at 10am.
