Re: Plants Containing DMT and Relative Advantages of Each
SWIM has heard that there is a chinese herb that contains DMT, but he cant for the life of him remember the name, anyone know the one? SWIM has some good contacts in chinatown for herbs, and would like to get a price, as many chinese herbs are available dirt cheap there. SWIM has been getting his goji berries and ginseng on the cheap. 6.99$ for 30 vials of 18year old ginseng root extract, at 6800mg per vial, and 5$ per kilo for goji, SWIM has seen these for sale by white people at 10x that price, so he's hopefull on the dmt containing plant...

So there are many H. sapiens around, so much so that you could say there is a plague of them, time to round up lots, place them into stacked up pods and stick needles into their spinal columns and start sucking out the cerebrospinal fluid. Maybe creating a VR world for them. |

Re: Plants Containing DMT and Relative Advantages of Each
I have read a lot about how Phragmites australis is rich in DMT in the roots. I was wondering if anyone has seen a study or any kind of percentages, as I've seen a lot of this growing in a bay and have heard that if the rhizomes are submerged in water they're even more potent.
It's hard to believe when something is so generally aluded to. And it's a lot of work doing an extraction, I'd just as soon not start one with something that'll probably not work. ![]() Any imput would be appreciated. |

Re: Plants Containing DMT and Relative Advantages of Each
The following is from SWIM's observation.
Virola theiodora - SWIM doesn't believe that it contains "up to 0.25% DMT". SWIM thinks that's an error. SWIM found his batches of this plant usually have mostly 5-MeO-DMT, about 0.05%, and very little DMT if at all. This statement seems more accurate according to SWIM: "Waiká snuff made from V.theiodora resin had a unusually high alkaloid content of up to 11%, consisting mainly of 5-Methoxy-DMT (5-MeO-DMT)." Diplopterys cabrerana - SWIM found that this plant varies a lot in alkaloid content and potency. In one batch he found 0.1% 5-MeO-DMT, 0.26% DMT, and no DMT-N-Oxide. In another batch he found 2.1% DMT, no DMT-N-Oxide and no 5-MeO-DMT. Then another batch that was completely void of 5-MeO-DMT, had 0.19% DMT-N-Oxide and only 0.12% DMT! SWIM also found a batch with some very unusual effects from a mystery alkaloid mixed in with the DMT fraction that was as potent as 5-MeO-DMT but with sort of Salvia-like effects or similar to the "Jungle Spice". SWIM would like to see more work done on this plant. There's a lot of variation and there seems to be an unknown active alkaloid present in it. I’d like to add a warning about using Diplopterys cabrerana. The alkaloid levels of this plant vary substantially. The main problem is that 5-MeO-DMT and the mystery alkaloid are both 5-10 times stronger than DMT and their occurrence in the plant seems to be random. Unless you know how to isolate DMT from 5-MeO-DMT and the mystery alkaloid, be very careful using this plant. One batch could be nearly all DMT and another could be nearly all 5-MeO-DMT, and yet another be high in the mystery alkaloid (it’s effects seem like that of “Jungle Spice”), and yet another be void of all alkaloids! So the potency can be that of DMT, 5-MeO-DMT, a mix of them, or it can void of all activity. SWIM has now seen all cases personally. Last edited by 69Ron; 02-06-2008 at 11:51. |
