Tasmanian Vs Turkish?

If someone were to switch from using Turkish pods for tea, (and lets just say, these pods were quite large), to using Tasmanian pods for tea-(which were perhaps the size of a large grape). Well, if someone were surprised by the size difference and searched the internet and found on another forum these words: "Of course Taz is not even Somniferum but Bracteum so that it does not evwen belong in the conversation."
Would any one else think to be concerned? Or does anyone know anyone who knows anyone who has tried these fictional grape sized tasmanians?

Hello again!
Being as green to this site as I am, I thought that perhaps I could make more sense of my previous post?
So!
SWIM is wondering if tasmanian pods, (solely for the use of poppy tea) have similar effects as the turkish pods?
the one statement SWIM found (as posted prior) suggested that the tasmanians were perhaps not able to provide the same happy effects that SWIM's turkish pods had produced.
I am sorry if this was not made clear earlier, but I am hoping there is someone out there that knows somebody thats tried both and can give a nice recap of how their other friend enjoyed (or didnt enjoy) both varieties.
Take care all
I would love some feedback on this
thank you
~N

ps
SWIM tried the questionable tasmanians and thinks that if she does a higher dose tomorrow, that it just might provide the escape she has come to expect with the turkish.

SWIM has never seen Tasmanians produce pods that small unless it was from a plant he personally grew which was in a bad position with no sun etc.

Whomever said that is completely mistaken. Tasmanian Purple is the highest achievement in the breeding of Papaver Somniferum laciniatum. The "Bracteum" they are mentioning is a "binomial" and not applicable in this sense. Being a binomial name they were meaning Papaver Somniferum Bracteum, but were still wrong.

SWIM has had Tasmanian pods he personally grew of that size many times. However that is not the "Normal" size for those pods. Tasmanians have a larger pod than this, usually about the size of a childs fist.

Yes, all varieties of pods produce much the same effects, though the strength and potency can vary. The differences between varieties can be likened to Marijuana. Each producing much the same effect with certain subtlties in the high and duration and flavor etc.

As SWIM previously stated, Tasmanians are the height of Opium Poppy breeding to date (except for SWIMs own Mauve Madness ) They have the highest Morphine content of all breeds of poppy.

All in all SWIM has grown most varieties of Opium Poppy and breeds certain other varieties on a regular basis. SWIM can say with all certainty that the pods that SWIyou have are either -

1] Not Tasmanians.
2] Are Tasmanians that are poorly grown.

Hope this has been of help.
Peace

Re: Tasmanian Vs Turkish?

Very informative! SWIM was so hoping to find someone smarter than she
Unfortunately, the "tasmanians" SWIM tried did fookin nothin.
So strange because SWIM said they looked exactly like the bigger turkish, only miniaturized. SWIM says cute but non efficient.
Blah

Thank you for the information you posted, it is much appreciated.
