Addiction - big hello and Heroin, Methodone to clean?

hi, this is a story related to me by a FOAF:

"Hello to everyone.

I've got myself into a situation; after 8 years clean I returned to Heroin with avengence a few months ago and my life has become sad and desperate.

I'm now thousands of pounds in debt due to my addiction with all the other natural problems that go with it.

I tried last week going from my sixteenth a day habbit to a single 4mg subutex and lasted 6 hours before failing and getting myself a fix of heroin. The clinic almost apologised to me saying it was silly of them to expect me to detox in that way. I know that I should of somehow reduced my heroin consumption before going onto subutex but I just sim,ply could'nt do it.

They have now put me on methodone (40mg) this week and understand I will top up with heroin although they expect me to knock out the hheroin completely next week when they increase my methodone to 60mg a day.

I have'nt helped myself though as I am taking the 40mg methodone a day plus taking almost a teenth a day of heroin still on top. It's now Friday and Monday is the day that I am supposed to be on methodone alone.

I'm in a terrible state and hate myself for getting myself into this situation and also for being so weak as to not be able to reduce the amount of heroin i'm doing.

I apologise for my first post and introduction being so long and pethetic.

I'm desperate for help and advice and browsing this forum for a couple weeks know there are some good people out there.
