SWIM has been having success mixing the powder with soda:

SWIM now just mixes the powder with some really sweet soda and drinks it while holding his nose. Masks that uniquely disgusting taste mighty well, he'd say. It's bitter as hell, but SWIM can take it -- it's only the flavor that he really can't stand.

Due to its effectiveness and the extreme ease with which it is carried out, SWIM prefers this method a lot. So much, in fact, that he's thinking of dumping a bunch of powder into a bottle of soda, swirling it around, and storing it. SWIM wants to know if the alkaloids that give Kratom its kick degrade readily in soda or other acidic or carbonated solutions.

Swim did some searching but didn't find much about degredation of kratom's alkaloids except some posts saying that ground/powdered kratom can lose its potency.

Maybe swiy (or swim!) could do a test, for example mixing some certain amount of kratom into a soda bottle but filled with water, then drinking it, and recording the results.

Then later, as much as under the same conditions as practicable as the first time, mixing the same amount of kratom into soda, drinking it and comparing the results. If sugared/caffeinated soda is used it might have a more stimulative result thus throwing off the experiment?

Of course swim/swiy could perform this test dozens of times all in the name of research!
