Oral use - Need Laudanum Help

SWIM had his first attempt at CFO and thinks the filters failed him. Stuff just rushed through the 10 micron bag and ice-o-lation didn't work as ice was always piss yellow from first go ( ice was a slush trapping lots of liquid...).

Anyways, product was very black and not smokeable. SWIM doesn't really care as Laudanum seems like a good alternative.

SWIM is trying to dissolve 15 grams of balled CFO in 250 mls of Cognac and planning to top up to 750 mls later once he has this problem solved.

What happens is that the ball of CFO dissolves very slowly and turns grey on surface with the alcohol. The grey stuff falls off and forms this white insoluble crap at the bottom. Any idea what this is? Can SWIM filter it off? Should SWIM adjust for pH when the stuff is in Cognac ie with lemon ?
