everytime i do any upper, (coca, e pills, speed pills, meth) i couldn't get a hard on to save my life. that is one reason i haven;t tried any uppers in over 3 years. i'm into sedatives, benzos and opiates. does anyone else have that problem, i know some don't, but for me there is no freeking way. it may have something to do w/ uppers making me a nervous wreak, or tense all over my body. i don;t see how people enjoy theirselves on the shit, i guess each to there own.

This has to do with uppers and there actions on the body. Some downers, I've noticed do this as well. Meth,e, coke, extacy (which is chemically related to meth) all has this effect on a lot of people. For a lucky few it doesn't but most it does.

opiates make me get hard as a rock, but it is almost impossible to cum. invictus, i have heard other people tell me the same thing as you but also vice versa. i just wanted to see what the general concensus was, i still think it's split about 50/50.

From what I know, it goes like this:


The drug (xtc, speed, meth and alike) you take affects your noradrenaline-regulation and that of the hormon adrenaline. These substances are working in your Sympathetic Nervous System. The drug increases this regulation, at which your SNS has to work harder. This results in the so called 'fight or flight' status of the body. The body makes himself ready for battle, for fleeing, for action and things alike. Because of this, all attention goes to the parts of the body which are vital for this state; the pupils dillate for example(more light comes in). For the same reason you get that problems with your weener, since it's of no use in your current state of awareness.

It also has a bit to do with being dehydrated.. uppers suck a lot of water out of your system. Have the person-who-isn't-you try drinking a whole bunch of water before trying to get it up... Of course, not too much, because that can cause water poisoning.

It can be, but that's not the main problem of 'not getting a hard one'.


While tripping, your sympaticus (SNS, Sympathetic Nervous System) prepares your body and sets it in this so called 'fight or flight' status. The blood barrels in your muscles will widen (become larger) and will be able to get in more oxygen and (feeding) substances. The blood barrels in your skin and digestive system will become smaller, because they aren't really necessary at the moment. This may explain your problem, and it also explains why you aren't hungry or why it's hard to eat while tripping on ecstasy.Edited by: Boyv

I think sexual dysfunction associated with uppers use is caused mainly for its action on the balance serotonin/dopamine.

Noradrenernegic drugs such as yohimbe have very positive effect on sexual stimulation. Yohimbe puts you somehow in that "fight to fight" status as well but you get hard and cum easily.

The sexual problems of amphetamines have a lot in common with those associated with ssri's use. SSRI's increase serotonin while decrease dopamine causing DA receptors work for the serotonin system.
This interference between serotonin system and DA system also happens with MDMA and other uppers.
