just say no
Be aware of benzo's. swim is going through hell at the moment, as his supplier (legal) has just ripped him off. Swim was just starting to attend a drug intervention program to come off of them, they wouldn't prescribe me any, but I could buy them myself and they would help me to come off of them slowley. Aparantly you have to do this as just stopping them is verry bad for you (siezures and hospitalisation) great fun. Iswim would rather come off of heroin again then suffer the affects of benzo withdrawll.
PLEASE TREAT WITH CAUTION, PLEASE. I wouldn't wish this on my worst enamy c_d |

Re: just say no
Thanks for the post but sorry SWIM isn't having a good time.
Y took valium once/twice twice a week until april 22nd. He stopped on that day, but it wasnt until ten days later that he started noticing strong symptoms. Depression and anxiety. It was physical. He had been depressed anyway, but he blamed the amphetamines, which he hadnt taken since march. When the depression and anxiety ramped up hard, it was only then he thought of the valium being the cause. He is three weeks free now, and hopes the worst of his symptoms are over. Y is now too scared to take any benzo, as he does not want a return of the symptoms. CHEMDUDE tell SWIM, he has Y's sympathy. Y got it mild, given the not too frequent dosages, and this is bad enough. Last edited by humdroid; 01-06-2009 at 00:06. |

Re: just say no
benzo's are the one drug that i would not suggest going cold turkey with. depending on how much you were taking and for how long....going cold turkey can be dangerous and can lead to seizures. even if you go to a medically montered detox facility they will put you on a controlled taper....probably with diazepam or clonazopam or some other benzo with a really long half life.
