Movies NOT to watch high
there's one or two threads about movies about drugs or movies to watch high but this is about movies not to watch high, ie horror movies SWIM once tried watching Saw high not cool not cool at all. but not just horror any other type though and find it to get high AFTER watching a scary movie.

But psychological movies to I cant think of it now but there was one and swim was like what the hell is going on

I think reefer madness is a stupid movie sober let alone high......just my opinion though....

I know someone that watch Saw and acid....they never wanted to describe the trip to me...it was that bad.

I saw white noise and I did something yesterday but I was actually freakin out during that movie. If I was completely sober I woulda thought it was boring as shit tho, but man, that REALLY freaked me out.

VERY true. All those weird experimental tracks will fuck with one's mind.

As for movies, I'd hate to watch any horror movies. They seem like they'd be the easiest to create a bad trip.

oh and as far as music is concerned...you could take this either raelly good or potentially dangerous...Godspeed you black emperor - East hastings.

if youve ever seen the movie 28 days later (actually thats a pretty wild movie to see fucked up too) you know the song that plays at the beginning, when jim is wandering around london...that wild guitar song... thats east hastings, it gets faster and faster and faster...iv gotten really soaked into the gybe experience...a real thrill.

Great movie, although indeed not something you'd want to view sober. SWIM was reaching for his doobie as soon as the shitplay started.

The following two movies should never, ever be viewed while high:

THX 1138, an early work of George Lucas. Very downbeat dystopian movie. I dare any one of you SWIY's to watch this while on Acid, Shrooms or even Weed, let alone paranoia-inducing stimulant drugs. You will go mad.

Soylent Green, nuff said. Watching Charlton Heston manoeuvre around a gritty, overcrowded, dystopian New York is enough to make most sober people feel uncomfortable, but imagine watching this on Shrooms. If SWIM dislikes something while on Shrooms, it's crowds.

SWIM watched that sober, only once mind. SWIM loves films, finding many by association via amazon or imdb suggestions, SWIM likes wierd films, but cant imagine what lead him to that one. His first watching of it was after getting the dvd, he no longer wants it but feels unable to sell it through amazon or internet auction sites, SWIM just hopes any other poor fool who has seen it finds it an unpleasant film, SWIM wonders what the director was trying to say with it. Until today all knowledge of it had happily been repressed out of SWIMs conscious.

Out of interest how did SWInag come across SALO, is he really that dark? DF staff and midgets is one thing, but SALO is quite another.

SWIM would suggest for humanity sake no one takes Nags dare, and SWIM would suggest on a now seemingly insignificant scale that "Event horizon" is a very bad film to watch high or under the influence of any substance

Okay. Here's another horror. A friend of mine, who annoyed me to no end, came over one night and took some blotter acid. So I turned on the TV set and searched for something to keep him from bugging me for awhile. I found the movie: The Thing With Two Heads. It is a hideous film about a southern white racist bigot who, in order to live, must have his head transplanted onto another person's body. The catch is that the other persons head cannot be removed for 48 hours. Of course, the only body available is a wrongfully convicted Black man sentenced to die in the state's electric chair. So there we have the white racist's head attached to the Black guy's body and they begin to argue. Then they begin to punch each other...Then I leave the room and leave my friend, who annoyed me, to watch the rest of this awful waste of film!


He didn't come over again for quite some time after that. Bliss!

I second that Requim for a Dream is a BAD movie to watch while fucked up on any drugs. It's way too intense for any psychedelic, that's for sure.

swim watched this movie for the first time on his first CCC trip
dropt a box about 30min before he started watching it
his trip followed the movie (the intro, the problem, the climax, the ending)
it changed his life in the craziest way
he dunno y but the movie will never be that good again
no matter how high he is

but swim did freak the fuck out when that fridge jumped off the wall or w/e
he was peaking so hard for his first time he almost pissed himself
altho no bad tripps off that one

swim did however have a bad dex trip once
he kept throwing up an felt like he was in WW2 an his legs were blown off
an was army crawling thru a trench
(later on he learned he stumbled into a room peaking to the intro of saving private ryan where they land on the beach)
