Usage of Neurontin to avoid dopamine rebound
Sometimes swim use about 20g of GHB by day. High tolerance, dosage of 3g mi is needed to feel effects.
This kind of day swim used to suffer from dopamine rebound (because he don't follow the recomendations for rec users and sleep : http://www.drugs-forum.com/forum/showthread.php?t=66316 ). Swim found that 800mg of Gabapentin before going to sleep make him avoid the dopamine rebound, he don't wake up 3 hours after going to sleep and seem to avoid myoclonie too (he don't sweat anymore like a pig). Voila. |

Re: Usage of Neurontin to avoid dopamine rebound
IMO that kind of usage is sufficient to produce withdrawals.

Re: Usage of Neurontin to avoid dopamine rebound
I assume you're talking about withdrawals from the Gabapentin. Would doing this once or twice a week result in withdrawals?

Re: Usage of Neurontin to avoid dopamine rebound
Well actually I was referring to the G. The OP mentioned getting the sweats which indicates increased NE activity. I don't think that amount of gabapentin usage would be problematic at all

Re: Usage of Neurontin to avoid dopamine rebound
Gabapentin is one very interesting drug. Swim finds some of these new wave unsheduled (USA) drugs to be very interesting indeed. Gabapentin could definitly be used this way, he used it to aid him in tramadol withdraws and found it quite helpful at around 1200-1600 mgs with some interesting effects still felt at low dosages. 20g of ghb sounds like an awfully high dose... Gabapentin has been indicated as a treatment option for ghb detox so this sounds like a plan

Re: Usage of Neurontin to avoid dopamine rebound
Swim always wakes up sweaty after taking even small amounts of G to sleep. Then again, swim is a sweaty bastard normally...
