has anyone tried smoking ephedra either as the plant or a powered extract from a capsule. If so how did u smoke it andwhat kind of effect did it have?

Smoking Ephedra is nice, stimulating & euphoric. You need to mix it with tabacco to keep it burning. If you can get your hands on Sida cordifolia or another Sida acuta, it will probably be even better as these herbs where used primarely for smoking purposes by native people. I do not understand why these herbs where never offered as smoking alternatives.

I've tried pouring the powered extract out of a capsule and mixing it in with tobbaco in a cigarette but it just wont keep burning.Does this mean u need whole driedplant rather than powered extracts?any other suggestions?

Yes, just burn the herb itself, with some tabacco.

i can't get the whole herb. its hard enuf to get the capsules into this country. is there anyway of smoking the powered extract?

I did not try it, but have had the same problem with smoking other extracts.

Smoking the powdered extracts sounds dangerous to me. The dosage for ephedrine taken orally is about 20-40mg. You could easily do way too much.

Can you find the capsules and all the other forms of ephedra at like a health store?

I have smoked the plant that ephedra comes from (Mahung) but it had no effect even at high doses. The best way to get the buzz from the plant is to make tea.

I have read many reports of smoking ephedrine extracts. If you plan on doing this, it is best to soak the pill in ammonia, let it disolve, then dry off the ammonia slowly. It is was tobbacco companies do to nicotine, and "ive heard" that this makes ephedra a potent smoking material

based ones. Unfortuantly I can't supply any links due to the rules, but
I'm sure it won't be that hard to find.

SWIM tried this recently, and it really didn't produce any pronounced
effects, though that may be from the small amount that he smoked and
his high tolerance to stimulants.

I was crazy enough to smoke it, I felt a little bit light headed and
than...... nothing (maybe it wasn't enough but is was fun for a one
time experience) the taste is awefull btw. I didn't die though.

vaporizing 10% PE standard extract definetly works.... it hits very quicly, ephedrine style : ie shivers, rapid heartbeat, shaking, CNS stimulation...shorter duration as well.


ok it really works, and this is good to know because drinking ephedrine is a drag. Now it works, but it's still far from fun..... maybe after drinking some, a little toke would "sober" things up.
