Black spots on poppy pods.
Swim has a box of 100 super jumbo poppy pods. On quite a few of them there are black spots on the outside of the pod. The spots go from quite small specks to quarter size splotches. Is this mold? Is this something to worry about? Can they be safely made into tea or can swim cut out the bad spots?

Re: Black spots on poppy pods.
Mostly (if they are fairly fresh) it is just bruising and very common.
In some instances it can be molding but this doesnt happen often if they are dried well. Giving them a quick (very quick) wash before they are put to use is the general route that hypothetical people take to avoid any mold or other contaminates. Peace
