Poppy pods on airline

SWIM (he lives in Canada) is going to Europe this summer, mainly Germany and Poland and he is wondering if he could put poppy pods in his luggage. Will it arouse any suspicion or trouble doing so?

SwiM's travel agent thinks it is a bad idea to fly with any kind of anything related in any way shape or form to drugs onto a plane. It's absolute madness (think about it - one can't even bring drinks or shampoo bottles onto planes nowadays!). Not to mention the flight is an international one so ya know there's going to be extra security in place.

Of course swiM's travel agent ain't stopping swiY from trying. It just seems like an unnecessary risk - and if caught it isn't the local street cop swiY will be dealing with, no no. It's gonna be the big boys, and it is likely swiY will be in a world of trouble for it.

So is it worth the risk?

But then again that would be too much trouble for SWIM. What are the odds that it will be something seen as suspicious. They're just dried flowers.

No, they cant

SwiM's travel agent is not saying it can't be done, just that it would be an unnecessary risk. Why would one be transporting dried flowers over international borders? It might look weird.

To set the record straight, these pods 'do' have active alkaloid in them, correct? If so, they could definitely be considered containers. Just like how psilocybe mushrooms would be banned from a flight because they are containers of a hallucinogen.

Absolutely make sure they are empty of seeds, as viable seeds definitely will arouse suspicion and get your bags searched deeper. This alone would be enough to seize the pods.

If the pods are grinded and put into spices bottles will that help SWIM?

If at all possible swiy should not cross boarders with anykinda prohibited substance.

However sometimes it can't be avoided.So,swim would grind up the pods,put the powder in gell caps and stick the caps in a multi vitamin bottle.

Then swim would pray.
