Although I don't really have adequate time to go into detail on this subject, I thought I'd mention my thoughts on this topic and see if anyone can relate.
Lets start with a bit of background quickly: After 2 or more years, SWIM just got a few vials of 50mg/mL Ketamine this morning. He said that although it is not AS powerful as the 100mg/mL Anasket/Inoketam he used to get in MX, it is still good stuff.
Now SWIM's past experiences with K, have generally been (waaay) south of the border, and usually (but not always) with specific people, and in specifc places. The first time he did K, was on a couch at a friends place in Mexico, and then a year later he found himself on the same couch under the same set of circumstances

. Now needless to say, this made everything feel REALLY familiar.
Fast forward a few years to today, this time in the "cold north", instead of sunny Mexico. Today swim did 50mg Intra-muscularly, which is about 30mgs (or so) less than his usual dose. After such a long period of no use, swim felt that this was the PERFECT dose to reintroduce himself to the beautiful world of K. I should mention that for some reason this K took almost a minute to take effect on swim, whereas he usually feels it within SECONDS of taking an IM shot. This is the first time swim has experienced this "delay", but maybe someone else has input on the matter..
Now as to the topic in question...As I mentioned above, swim has always felt this "familiar" sort of feeling with Ketamine. Now this could be due to his using the substance with the SAME people at the SAME place, but maybe it isn't. However today when swim used the Ketamine, he wasn't around ANYONE, he was in a completely different place (country) than before, and even his "life situation" is dramatically different than it was at the time(s) of his prior uses. Even though all these factor/variable are different now for swim, he still felt this uncanny sense of familiarity, and found himself thinking of all kinds of sights/sounds/etc that were associated with his prior ketamine experiences.
So, do you guys think that this "familiarity" is just swim's mind associating past (esp. sensory) experiences to his current ones? Perhaps someone else can relate or has something valuable to add. I sincerely hope that the above post makes sense, and isn't completely nonsensical. While reading, keep in mind that swim is still a bit foggy from earlier
