Alprazolam 0.25 mg for Panic Attacks

I have been taking this medication for Panic attacks
I only take it when needed, When I feel an attack coming on
I have had some really bad panic attacks, went to E.R. 4 times in 4 months
But I have to take 3 or 4 pills to get any help. is this because the dose is so small. Should I ask for a bigger dose ? they really work well for me in 3's or 4's
