Addiction - help swim stop, please..

SWIM has been addicted to opiates for probably a year now. He really calmed down in the past few weeks due to the family finding out about his problem and his friends thinking it was out of control.. He was doing over 200mg of oxycontin per day due to his dad's personal stash that was way too easily accessible. He's gotten past searching for daddy's pills and no longer wants to be stuck in this loathsome cycle. SWIM got to day 4-5 of his withdrawal and finally gave in and got a couple of bags of dope, not to get fucked up and have fun, but to try to taper off. He got the bags last night, and couldn't resist killing one of them, but the other bag he is making sure lasts at least 3 days..

So my question to you friendly people here is.. Is it possible to use H to taper off of oxys? I've heard it's a less painful withdrawal than that of oxycontin, but I'm not sure. I just want the best for SWIM.. Go easy on me, I know my situation's shitty and SWIM just wants to get out.
