Opinions - extraction advice for Anfen Weima Namin Pian (Pseudoephedrine HCL)

Swim has been given a challenge to extract Psuedoephedrine HCL from a chinese brand pill. Each Pill contains 325mg Paracetamol, 30mg Pseudoephedrine Hydrochloride and 2mg Chlorphenamine maleate.

The pill mass is a simple formula, but when swim does CWE, it starts to work fine as salt like crystals begin to form in the water but when dried there is a horrible sticky substance on the bottom of the plate.

Is it possible for swim to filter the salts before the goeey layer forms and wash them in acetone to get clean PE HCL.

If anyone knows of someone that has worked with chinese pills called anfen weima namin pian (II) before, maybe they can offer their friends advice too.
