Safety of Alprazolam found in half-melted snow?

Okay, back in December SWIM bought 2 xanax bars, but then lost them. Then in the middle of April, SWIM found his xanax bars in a baggie in the half melted snow in his front yard. They were a tad bit crushed, but still intact. SWIM wants to know if these will work and if they are safe to take. Thank you
