hey guys, i am thinking of doing an mdma session all by myself at home
and im going to experiment with music like beatles and other hippy
bands. I want to see how this trip differs, and if i gain more
insight and what not. I am a big beatle fan so its gonna be mostly
stuff like let it be, while my guitar gently weeps, imagine
(lennon), and mainly stuff off rubber soul, white album, let it
be, abby road, and perhaps sgt. pepper and magical mystery tour(their
more psychadelic stuff). I really think the song let it be will
get me in a VERY peaceful loving mood. Has anyone tried this or
recomed a good beatles or dead song i should listen to? Anybody
think this will turn out well? Thanks

Well from my experince personally. Roll with more people for your first time. Trust me your not going to want to sit around listen to music all by yourself. Listeing to your favorite band is cool and I'm sure you enjoy it. You'll hear things and think of things you never heard before. But you going to want to share the experince with at least a couple people. Close friends are the best bet here. But keep things unplanned put some "unplanning" to the experince. It keeps things exciting and I'm sure it will lead to a better roll in the end. Beatles are great, they have a great legacy. Have fun and please keep all of use posted of how it goes.

thanks, but this is FAR from my first time. I have rolled by
myself befoe so its not a new thing. I am gonna probably go
to a freinds later in the night or drive around with them or something
when i feel the need. I am doing this as an experiment really,
since ive rolled with techno and dance music at least 20 time, ive
rolled by myself like 8 times.

check out the albums blonde on blonde or highway 61 revisited. especially the tracks "ballad of a thin man", "like a rolling stone", "one of us must know (sooner or later)" and "i want you". these are the ones i remember most listening to on e.

excellent, i will be trying this soon, just had some family problems im
trying to work through before i take my journy, i will be sure to get
back to yall about it and ill try to post a full trip report. I
might do it with another friend, but this way i can really controll the
setting and music and stuff, not that rolling with buddies is bad, i
enjoy it just as much as alone if not more, but it has been a while
since i have tripped or rolled alone. Thanks and any more advice
is apreciated.

Beatles Anthology 3 is good while rolling... and if you can find them,
the Esher Demos are good too, acoustic white album demos (i got them as
part of a 5gb 70+ disc beatles collection that i downloaded)

also Bob Marley is good for rolling

you could also try a compilation of of mid to late 60's music if you
felt compelled to do so... im sure just about anything made durring the
orgional "acid wave" would be good while on x

Bill Laswell's remix of Bob Marley's Dreams of Freedom is amazing for this.

um, so is Dub Side of the Moon, not at all as cheesy as it sounds.

speaking of cheese, my gimps told me String Cheese Incident, Red Rocks 2004 shows, combined rather well with methylone.

anthology 3 is the white album, abbey road, and let it be... also has a
couple songs that weren't on studio albums (all things must pass, old
brown show, teddy boy, junk, los parinoias) and a medly of 3 elvis songs

anthology 3 is an amazing collection... better than 1 and 2 IMO... id reccomend it to any beatles fan
