Long duration of effects

SWIM doesn't know why, but whenever he consumes psychoactive substances, the next day, he still feels them as strong or almost as strong as the day before. SWIM orally took a certain stimulant once, and he felt the effects even days after.

SWIM took a sedative at night and SWIM drank a coffee in the morning and he still felt sedated. Would smoking the sedative make this "hangover effect" non-existent because it would shorten the duration? If it wouldn't help much, what will?

thsi may have to do with metabolism...if consumed orally, then swim thinks (she'll have to read a little on this to be sure) the half life may be longer, but she is really unsure. some substances have much longer half lives than others. can swiy elaborate on the substances they mentioined? dosages? swiy's size, body wieght, and ,if applicable, tolerance?

SWIM asked someone else and that person also said it has to do with metabolism. Strangely, SWIM is just about ideal weight. SWIM is somewhere around 150LB and 6'.

Lower doses just make the high weaker, don't really shorten the duration.
