I have been on Celexa 20 mg since the last 3 years, and everytime I am trying to quit cold turkey after 6-7 days I am going complety crazy.


Anxiety kick back strong like hell, having insomnia, nausea, brain zaps, etc ....


How could I quit Celexa (SSRI) ?????

You need to get help from the doctor with this. With all anti-depressants you are NOT supposed to go cold turkey !!! A slow tapering down is the way you are supposed to do it. Check with your doctor. Going cold turkey off of ssri's will throw your nervous system into a panic.

I know, it did !


I stoped it for 7 days, and I went crazy with insomnia.


But my sex drive was getting back, it piss me off to have to back on it.


Next time, I will tapering it off slowy.

cut your dose in half (I was on 2 a day) for about 2 weeks, then take that dose every other day for about 2 weeks. I had about a week of vertigo but really kindof enjoyed it. I know windysan said get help from the doctor but mine wouldn't really cooperate with me, he said I still needed it, what's he know, I just didn't want to jeopordize my other uses for him.
