what kind of methadone do you take son?

Hi on swims clinic they dispence the methadose cherry coloured liquid. swim is scared as he might be switching to a different clinic and is wondering; if they use a different form of meth. would it possibly have effect on swim (w/d over sedation ect) or are they all the same? swim previously has had the disketts in detox as well. anybody have a preference for which methadone form is better/stronger/lasts longer, and swim would like to know what kinda m/d swimmers are currently on.

tt was on levomethadone instead of the racemic, but "they" put him on
the racemic as a "punishment" for being benzo positive such a long time.

in germany the only methadone brand is "L-Polamidon", which is the pure
levomethadone without the non-potent dextromethadone. of course this
is more expensive. many people here prefer levomethadone, because of
having effects lasting a bit longer and less side effects, as the body has
not to metabolize the dextromethadone.
methadone racemic is only for treatment of drug addicts, not for pain
management.

tt doesn't know the situation and habits of US-american methadone clinics,
but if they work correct and precise, you shouldn't fear any difference
when changing the clinic.
it could be that if your clinic uses syrup, the methadone gets absorbed
faster than methadone that is given without sugar. so if you change to
the other clinic, take a sweet drink with you, in case they give the meth-
adone in a liquid without sugar. or have a piece of chocolate with you.

In the US, almost all non-private methadone clinics use Methadose oral concentrate. This is the pink cherry flavored methadone that SWIY is referring to. Some private clinics may use methadone diskettes in 5, 10, 40mg dose sizes. These may be white or orange in color depending on the manufacturer and are almost always dissolved in water or orange drink by the clinic before being administered to the client. Some clients feel that the diskettes have a longer hold time than the Methadose but as far as SWIM knows, this has yet to be scientifically proven.

SWIY's best bet would be to contact the new clinic by phone and inquire as to the type of methadone they use. US regulations require the clinic to provide the client with all FDA info on the specific brand of methadone that they dispense. This is the insert that comes with every bottle of methadone that is ordered by the clinic.

SWIM remembers they would give the 40mg orange diskets and disolve them in warm water. They were trying to get people on this clear, machine dispensed shit (that they'd put right into some kind of juice), but you had an option.

SWIM remembers some kind of junkie lore about the diskets lasting longer but the liquid taking effect faster. Not sure if it is true or not.

swim used to be on biodone. its sugarfree, alcohol free, and its a dark pinkish colour.

the brown coloured methadone used to feel like it was stronger. the few times she was dosed the brown coloured liquid it got her stoned a little and held her for longer. same for IV.

Funny SWI should say that because Pacman thought exactly the same thing!! The green stuff seems so much weaker!!
