Talk SWIM out of it
SWIM has been fascinated with heroin for years. He has always been into finding a better rush and pushing the boundaries, he has always lived life with a "I have one shot at this life, I want to experience it all".
SWIM has been using other weaker opiates for a while now and he really likes it. Opiates seem to be the drug class he has been waiting for. SWIM is a smart bloke. He's a student at university and he knows that he has potential - he's a hard worker and a nice guy. SWIM has always tried to be a limit on his drug use. It was always, "I'll do this but never that". Right now if you offered SWIM heroin he would jump at the chance. He can't help himself - he's always been a "I'll do it once" guy but he likes things too much and ends up using regularly. He knows doing heroin is stupid and that it could ruin his life, but he is SOOO curious. It's likely he'll come into contact with it soon. He needs some guidance from people who are slaves to this stuff - talk him out of his curiosity. |

Re: Talk SWIM out of it
just ask yourself if being a heroin junkie a fair trade for life as you know it now .
you have a future now, but with a monkey that is going to grow into a guerrilla, you will spend it addicted to illegal banannas. |

Re: Talk SWIM out of it
Swim was a heroine addict when he was 13 till he was 17 and used for 7 months when he was 19. He recently tried IV twice. And wont do it again ! Really trust swim living live as a heroine addict isn't fun !
now swim has to say that he can't say he wouldn't ever do it again. But he is wishing he never started it... If swiy really wants to try it and is going to do it then do it away from home ! And don't look for it again !!!!!! But really don't do it !!!!!! |

Re: Talk SWIM out of it
M y butler thinks SWIY is only looking for attention...good troll! Just in case my Butler is wrong he wants to share his personal experience with you. Butlering is hiis 2nd job. Jeeves, my Butler's name, counted on his winnings as a pro poker player for the better things in life. Then Jeeves met Oxy...a meeting arranged in Hell!
Now its 4 years later. Jeeves lost his credit cards. He went from being a winner at the table to being a donkey. Jeeves can barely afford to buy the clothing he needs to keep working as my butler. The onloy curiosity left him is how he will feed his monkey. And the good feeling that trapped Jeevs is gone. He can only come close to geeting there for lots of money he doesn,t have. I*f you're serious, not trolling, I feel for you. I see Jeeves after 4 years of Oxy looking like a lawn in the sahara desert not irrigated. I feel for you. |

Re: Talk SWIM out of it
SWIM has a family and is currently a PhD student and an H user. He manages, so it is possible. But it is also true that one becomes a slave to the drug: thinking about it, dreaming about it, waiting for his next fix instead of working on school stuff or family stuff. So it is possible to juggle H use and responsibilities, but it takes will power.

Re: Talk SWIM out of it
You're better off not knowing what the feeling is like. It changes you from the inside and there is almost nothing you can do about it. Even if you get off of it, unless you are a certain kind of person you are going to be fighting this inner demon, hard fucking core, for the rest of your life.
SWIM thinks of it this way. If there was a day-pass into heaven, but it cost a lot of money, after you did it the first time you'd be like - fuck living on this earth, I just want to be in heaven all the time. Eventually you'd sell all your shit and melt down everything you owned into cash for the day pass. Then after a while you couldn't afford it anymore (well, unless you are one of those lucky rich people), and would be stuck on the earth in even worse misery. So yeah, it's better as far as if you care about living a normal life never to know what heroin feels like. |

Re: Talk SWIM out of it
As someone else said above me, I think you already know what we're going to advise.
Something else that has been mentioned too... I think your mind is already made up. Friend of a friend was saying almost your exact words a few years ago. Now friend of a friend wishes he was back in that position, and made a different choice. You're smart. Work it out. |

Re: Talk SWIM out of it
SWIM lost 7 years to opioids, and lost his inner drive for life, trying for years to detox, until he finally settled in with methadone because it was legal and he could get it with his insurance.
He lost years doing nothing, going nowhere, having no desire for anything but the high, and there was never a great plateau where he had anything more enjoyable than a few hour buzz. That's not living it's numbing oneself to all the great possibilities in life. It sure does feel good, but one can only stay high so long before it either get's boring or too much to maintain, and the fall is just as bad if not worse than the euphoria, that lasts for a very long time (longer than the pleasure many times over). The withdrawal is very physical, and emotional/mental, and statistically SWIM thinks only maybe 20-30% of people who become addicted ever get clean for any period of time. It's perhaps manageable for some, it's possibly an enjoyable thing once in awhile for some, but for more people than not, it's an enslaver of the soul, that takes away anything that someone ever cared about, and usually ends up in death, or an institution such as jails or hospitals.. Feel free to give it a go, but don't say SWIY weren't warned.. It is one hell of a buzz! |

Re: Talk SWIM out of it
Heroin is no fun to be addicted to. It made pacman a shoplifter which he had never done before and has lost him many friends no through theft or anything just through not wanting to do anything but heroin. It is bad drug to start using if depressed, anxious or in physical pain in any way as it seems to soothe the symptoms so much. Over time it seems to make the depression worse as the desperation for heroin just gets pacman down. Try a drug that isn't phsicall addictive that doesn't give you a life or death sentence

Re: Talk SWIM out of it
Advice to someone who wants to try heroin:
Forget about that shit and start smoking some better weed. It's essentially in the same ballpark of effects, sedation, and some strains are perfect for that. Why get into the potential nightmare of heroin addiction when you can chase the same kind of effect with way less of the consequences? |

Re: Talk SWIM out of it
SWIM is in a similar situation to 3xtr4 and is madly curious. But after reading all these posts he realises that it is almost certainly best to live in ignorance about what heroin feels like. Naturally SWIM does not want to become a slave to the drug or become addicted as he feels he has a future ahead as well. But he does want to experience possibly the best feeling a human being can feel.
Thats why he wants to know if there is any way to take heroin once and not become addicted. For example SWIM hears that if one is to take a lot of ketamine and then skunk after taking crack and have a sober friend looking after them, they can take crack once and not become hooked. Is there something similar SWIM can do when taking heroin? Sorry if this is a dumb question or irrelevant to the thread, if someone would direct me to a thread where this question is answered SWIM would be very grateful. I am a noob to this forum, I must admit. Peace |

Re: Talk SWIM out of it
There is no magic sequence you can use to "not get addicted". Nothing is written in stone, but you should know your own limits. You should also take notice of the preconceptions you already hold about heroin, as they are based on a myriad of truths.

Re: Talk SWIM out of it
Swim has never tried heroin, but knows it's really bad for people who have pre-existing problems like anxiety and depression. Swim loves the opiate feeling too, but just sticks to pods despite knowing where to get heroin.

Re: Talk SWIM out of it
SWIM says to me "Heroin is f'ing awesome! It's the most incredible rush, the most complete euphoria imaginable. In fact, you can't imagine it, you can only experience it for yourself! Do it! Do it again! Do some more! Lie for it! Steal for it! Give up everything and everyone real for it! Risk your FREEDOM! Risk your LIFE! Come on, man, DO IT! ......"
Then I hung up on SWIM and got back to the real world. |

Re: Talk SWIM out of it
I hope by piping in a bit later,Swiy has finally put it to bed. There is enough hardcore addicts on the DF whom have poured their guts out,not just to this post.Swir really thinks Swiy has already decided, and probably a while back too.IF Swir is wrong than you need to take what Swir and all the rest have been trying to get across. When Swir was just a drug munching fool, the holy grail then as it is now was the BIG H.The "old poke jones" as it was referred to.and because it was such a big deal with such a fucking A high Swir had to get her hands on some.Swir now knows that that subconscious desire ,whether Swir believed it at the time was the guiding force, that chose the path that has lead Swir here. That small thought guided Swir like a frikking missle. The price it exacts is much to high for us humans. If it doesnt snag you in it's needy clutches,it will dominate your sleep your awake time. The craving will knaaugh at you.Pulling,pulling.and if the truth was known imo "they" have made it the absolute ultimate high, but Swir has done better.Swir really believes that H has been so glorified that to certain people i.e.Swir it becomes something aka of a challenge.Shit the challenge is staying away from it.Go ahead challenge Swiy.
