Purity - Potency of smoked black tar resin in straw?

SWIM smokes black tar every day out of the same bic pen. After a little while, the resin in the pen builds up until its very dark.

Sometimes when SWIM doesn't have anything, he'll put a few drops of hot water in the pen and shake it around and dump it out in a spoon and sniff it.

The water always comes out very very dark. It LOOKS like theres a lot of heroin in the water.

So SWIMs question is...
Would that water that comes out be safe to inject?

Due to the fact its been smoked and there are by-products of the smoking as well as the fact your using a bic pen is say definitely not. Don't risk it.

swim would very strongly recomend agaisnt injecting that water. there is alot of shit in there msot of it NOT heroin and stuff you dont want in swiy's veins. it likely contains alot of tar (the carcinogenic kind) and lots of other unsavory stuff.

SWIM wasn't even gonna do it, he's a smoker and has a huge phobia of needles. But he has a friend who was sick and shoots it and needed something so SWIM was thinking of offering the stuff in his straw.

But a lot of people told SWIM that if he smokes out of a foil straw and then unrolls it and smokes the resin left in there, its quite potent... is that true?

Most plastics give off cyanide gas when heated or burned and alzheimer's has been linked to aluminum deposits in synapse fluid. SWIYs best bet would be to loose the pen all together and purchase a pyrex 'stem'. The resined stem can then be cleaned using isopropyl or grain alcohol. The tar/alcohol mixture can then be poured on a mirror or Corell plate and ignited briefly to remove the alcohol. The remaining solids can then be scraped with a razor blade. If tin foil must be used as a vaporization trough, burn the foil on both sides first and wipe the soot off with a paper towel. This will remove any coatings that may be on the foil. SWIM would not recommend shooting what's in the pen for obvious reasons.

The smokeshop down the street from my house sells "love roses", its like a little tiny paper rose in a glass tube. you take out the rose and use the tube... Is that basically what swim should get?

Also, is there something better then aluminum foil to smoke tar off of? SWIMs never heard of using anything but foil...

SWIM knows the safest way to do heroin is to... not do it. But everyone on this forum has definitely given SWIM info that none of his friends have. SWIY've made swims heroin use much safer and more enjoyable

A 'love rose' is not pyrex, but my hamster says it will work. It may be a tad short though.
Most head shops sell pipes that are designed for smoking heroin and meth. They are all glass or pyrex, with a stem and a bulb at the end with a small hole at the top of the bulb. These devices are theoretically ones safest and most efficient way to go.

SWIM went out and picked up a glass tube made of pyrex right after swiy suggested it last night. Its 4" long, compared to my bic he always used which was 2 and 3/4" long
SWIM never realized how much better a bigger tube would hit
but it seems like swim misses way less smoke this way. He's pretty good at chasing the dragon, but gets even better hits now.

and yeah SWIMs aware of "oil burners", he used to use them as a meth pipe all the time. But he heard its a bit wasteful compared to aluminum foil when it comes to smoking heroin, is that true?

He wants to be safer, thats why he got the pyrex stem and started burning both sides of the foil every time.
But he probably doesnt want to waste his stuff just to be a little bit safer.

find a glass pen if swiyou can... swim finds them at gas stations periodically. they're practically meant for freebasing. this will prevent plastic contamination when swiyou scrape out the junk. don't even consider IVing this though! there's lots of dust and hairs and other fibers from it. the potency of this stuff is significantly higher though, as more of the cut is left on the foil, thus leaving the condensed vapor a more pure.

just smoke this stuff... it's a nice fix when you're sick. it gets swim well for a few hours.

SWIM would "Monkey Water" it (insufflating the water). Do not inject that nasty stuff in one's veins.

Yeah thats what SWIM usually does. But ever since this post, he's been using a pyrex tube for a straw and he's gonna try doing the whole "empty it out with alcohol, burn off the alcohol and smoke itt" thing.

SWIM doesn't use a foil straw only because he likes to have a straw that can resinate for a long period of time, and he likes to always have the same straw. And a foil straw would get ruined by getting carried away.

Tell SWIY to use a piece of rolled-up foil instead of a bic pen. Then when SWIY has a large enough amount inside the foil it can be unrolled and either scraped-off or smoked straight off.
