Moonflower and moonflower vine...2 diff plants?

Ok so at work the other day (wal mart) i was doing something in the lawn and garden section and something on a pack of seeds caught my eye.

It was a large white flower called a moonflower. I lookede at it closer and decided to myself that it was datura.

The genus name on it was impomoea though. Which i found out means its a moonflower vine which is more like a morning glory type thing. Yuo have to find one with the genus name of d.inoxeafor it to be datura.

Am i correct in all my statements? I would like to grow some datura, just to say i have a plant of the strongest hallucinogen known to man.

it is illegal to grow plants for hallucinogenic purposes, you certainly aren't admitting to law breaking are you?
