Question Early probation termination
Have any swimmers ever recieved early termination on felony probation?

Knows of a couple of people that did it by paying off all of their fines, restitution. One guy was on it for a ounce of coke, and the other for theft over 10 grand.

Yes swim was released after 2.5 years of five year prob. Of course swim was always working, making his appointments on-time, etc. Of course this was a generation ago, lol.

SWIM early terminated after 32 months of a 48 month probation term. He paid ALL fines as soon as possible, did ALL community service as promptly as possible and never was late or missed an apointment. SWIM did get an additonal DWI while on felony probation - did a month in jail and got some more restrictions, but got off about 18 months after that. The key is to make your case more work for your officer than it is for you - if you pass that threshold then you have become a nuisance to them and they WANT to get rid of you.

Thanks for all the replies.

Swim was sentenced 2 yrs felony probation for possesion of a controlled sub.
He was told upon sentencing that if all fines were payed (and classes attended) he could get off in one year. That was over 8 months ago. All moneys have been payed. Swim sat through very boring classes every saturday for 5 months.

Swim has never missed a meeting, never had a dirty UA.

Will swim get another court date for release of Probation?
Or will it just end on the 1yr mark?

Most of the time the PO will tell you that you are through with your obligations. Wouldn't hurt to ask the PO about it, it will be one less case in his/her workload.
Cowboy went through a decade before his PO told him goodbye. Hell, we are still friends to this day.

Almost there. Swim has 69 more days before he can terminate early.

Swims PO told him to write up a letter to the judge requesting his ET.

Lord willing this headache will be over soon.

Swim can hardly beleive that almost a year has gone by!!

He is very exited!!!

Not only does swim avoid temptation... He wont even eat food or deserts given to him by friends. Swim is very paranoid about what goes in his body.

Is it sad when swim is counting down the hours??? lol

Kind of off topic, but..... Swim is about to get his wisdom teeth out, the dentist is going to give him perc 5's. This wont mess up his probation will it?
Since he is going to have a script he doesnt see it being a problem?
(Because a pill is what got him into this mess)

Call your PO and tell him about the dentist, don't let them get a surprise when they test you. Better to keep them in the loop.
